What's "Your" Game?

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 7:13 am

Most people I've met have one game that they're freakishly good at. One game that they trounce their friends in every time.

So if the devil challenged you to one game, what game would you choose?

Here are mine:

Video Game: Wii Tennis. I will be beat you. Woe to ye who challengeth me.

Card Game: Thirteen - which, apparently, is also known as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tien_len. I'm pretty good at Hearts too, but it doesn't have as much strategy.

Board Game: Scrabble. Actually I suuck at Scrabble, but I'm very good at Scattergories.

So what are yours? Feel free to add catagories.

Still, those games I good at are as following:
Video Gmae: Demon's Souls.
Card game: MTG
Board Game: Warhammer (table game actually)

I've kept my N64 purely so that me and my friends can play four-player GoldenEye deathmatches.

I have fond memories of playing the multiplayer in that game, it's the only FPS that I'm good at.

Btw, thinking that you'd have to challenge the devil in that game helps your choice surprisingly much :D

I don't really have one. I'm slightly above average on a lot of games that I play, but no master. Those being shooters like CoD and Battlefield. Golf games, well just Tiger Woods and Rock Band/Guitar Hero. For the latter I'd put myself in the top 50% of expert players, so not the best one by a long long shot.

I don't have a "my game".

I once had a roommate. He played Ocarina of Time. At one point he had been on the same boss, Phantom Ganon, for about 15 minutes when I decided to comment on his "kinda svcking" at the game.

He exploded. Threw a total fit. Looked like he was about to cry straight up. "You don't say that! This is MY game! MY GAME! I want to punch you so bad right now, don't dare talk [censored] about MY GAME MAN." He then went across the hall and complained about it to the suitemates, who were sympathetic to me.

Whenever somebody says something is "my game" it immediately makes me think of that.

It doesn't not endear.

Video Game: Teamfortess 2, your team stands a good chance of losing.

Card: Nothing really, don't play many. The ones I do I'm no master of.

Boardgame: Touch of Evil, of all the players I've got the most wins.

Tabletop RPG: I am the game master, no game without me. Muahahaha!

Edit
Oh god, or the time we were playing Merhcnats & Marauders. I was being a pirate, and attacked a fellow player.
Friend: I didn't attack you!
Me: Yea, but I'm a pirate.
Friend: But I was a pirate then and you convinced me not to attack you.
Me: Guess I was the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQrYEEfgbG8

Hahahah his upgraded pimped out ship was defeated by my old silly little unupgraded sloop. He rage quit hard.

Nothing beats a golden gun deathmatch in the factory map. :D

Many hours were spent playing multiplayer on GoldenEye.

I try and become best at any video game just by practicing a ton if I own them.

CoD and TF2 are my games though.

I'm not bad at texas hold'em. I've got a mean poker face. B)

I would say I'm pretty good at scrabble. Or I was when I played as a kid.

Video Game: PSO ep 1&2, it's an endurance run.

Card Game: Thirteen is pretty good, but I would also have to add texas hold'em and spades. Spades is probably my best game out of the three

Board Game: Risk. I svck. It is the best board game hands down.

Back in the mid-90s I was pretty much unstoppable in Street Fighter II even though I didn't have the game myself. Instead I just played it at friends who had it on the SNES or on the arcade.

That said, I absolutely svck at the new Super Street Fighter IV :P

I can't remember the last time I lost at NHL 11. Nowhere near as good at NHL 12, unfortunately.

Oooh. I remember wasting my teenage years away playing four player Perfect Dark - with 8 bots - the insanity.

Never got that good at it though, just average.

Board Game: Articulate (like Jeopardy only a board game.)

Sounds tempting.

Video game: Rise of Nations, i've managed to invent nukes while my friends were still inventing gunpowder. It was their third time playing it though.
Card Game: MTG, it's fun and if I get a good hand I might have a chance.
Board Game: Risk, I wish I could say warhammer, but I haven't played it that much and I don't have all that many models.
