Whats up with the huge amount of immature sixual mods?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:33 pm

everything is sixualized nowadays. ever seen drawings of flintstones-orgies and tom & jerry porm? thats my childhood beeing *badword* right in front of my eyes, man :\

also, this: http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lkov5pOSXH1qc6ljao1_500.jpg

and you're wondering why fallout has nvde/six mods.

The worlds gone crazy, man. :sadvaultboy:

Some of you say its not perverted, you just want to see more detail. Then, how come all the female mods are shaped around supermodels

For obvious reasons. If i want to see ugly people, i leave the house, or look in the mirror or some other reflective surface :hehe: OF course there's a middle ground, but many people operate only on extremes, as many posts in this thread prove ;)

And that turret picture is one of the least explicit ones i've seen, there's plenty of "Rule 34" of everything Portal

I totally hear ya. I've started just breezing past anything with the words "type 3" or "skinny" in the title, and even when I find a decent-looking clothing mod I have to ask whether or not it is "girls-only"...

Personally, I find it weird to be that six-focused while playing a game. I never really combine the two, you follow me?

I actually love this mod! I wish I knew more about how to mod, I'd slap this body type on a bunch of random wastelanders, just to add some more variation ^_^

I guess I'm not enough of a larper ;) to be really interested in clothing mods, but some time ago, for whatever reason, I thought that some decent male hairstyle would be nice.
Unfortunately there don't seem to be any non-anime male hair mods out there.

Ayup. That would be perfect. :goodjob:

There, after some quick searching, I've found some normal, non-anime, non-transgender, non-wacky hairstyles for us, manly males. :hubbahubba:

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3043
http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=14570 (Ulyssess better have this one in the upcoming DLC!)
http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36343 (Perfect for a Legion character)

First two mods are for F3 but are easily imported with F3Edit.

I play on the 360 but I check the Nexus occassionally, it baffles me too; but whatever floats people's boat right? Not hurting anyone and if there's demand then there's demand. I prefer to keep my Fallout impossibly close to Fallout though, even if I could get any mods.

Some people consider nvde mods out of place, personally, I find it less reasonable that every fiend in the wasteland has nice clean underwear under his grubby armor.
Is it really that weird to focus a bit more into 'sixist' aspects of the game? it contains quite a lot of it even without mods. And the real-life Vegas contains much more of it in that regard. you might argue that it only makes the game more realistic.
But anyway, people are fundamentally different from one another, everyone get their enjoyments in different ways. Some never even think about using 3rd person view and others transform the game into an elaborate photo-shoot staging area... to each his own. Why is that so difficult to accept?

BTW, the majority of anime themed mods originate from where the hardcoe anime fan are... Japan and Korea. They're made for mainly for TES and are ported over to Fallout.

The mods are completely out of place and there is no argument for them being in place. The games focus isn't on looking glam. The girl characters with defined hair (full of hairspray, products, shampoo) and their clothes made out of linen and other strange transparent materials are not fitting at all what so ever and i refuse to believe so. People wouldn't spend money on their hair or find these products still available - if you were to do this in a post apocalyptic world you'd be the first to die. Think of the Kardashian twins in fallout, they'd be dead and so SHOULD the pervert/glammed up girl mods.

Anybody who installs these mods into their games are doing it out of sixual desperation and after a quick real life sixual encounter you'd probably delete them... for a while. Adding these kind of mods are purely to fuel the users sixual obsessions. Its like seeing a homeless women on the street with glammed up hair and prosttute style clothes it doesn't happen. Adding anime into a game like Fallout is also blashpemy and i am determined to destroy this obsession... somehow.

I rest my case.

Lol aren't you the lil' crusader LOL

it comes down to this. if you don't like it.. Don't install it. Use the Content Filters if your so Puritan.
Don't force your own "Morals" on others.

you make HUGE assumptions about other people just because of a mod they may have installed.

yes, Glam-type mods don't really belong in a post-apocalyptic game, but they weren't Put there by Obsidian so don't worry. you don't have to use them

Like i said before. just try to keep an Open mind, about other peoples values. they might not be the same as yours

So... you place yourself the final arbiter of what mods should be allowed for public consumption... because you're delicate aesthetics are offended by what complete strangers are doing to your beloved game, no matter that said actions are performed in the privacy of their homes.

Mmhmm. Well, that's just what the majority of the gamer demographic likes to see, unfortunately.
And it's something to consider as a modder -- if your mod has a distinct lack of hardcoe bewbage or, heaven forbid, involves MALE characters -- you're instantly going to get far less views/downloads from an advlt oriented mod... even if the latter required only a small fraction of the work put into the former.

I agree, but please don't demean the gamer demographic by suggesting we're ALL mouthbreathing, neckbearded sixual deviants. It's honestly a shame, I would mind less if the 'sixy clothing' mods were at least well made, but true to their creators intentions they look like they've come out of an anime right down to their texture that looks like it's been done in paint. And don't get me started on 'sixlivion', 'animated prostitution' or that tentacle... well, you know what I mean.

I'm not against mods based around six, if nudity was handled maturely and there was a compelling reason for it then I'd be cheering it on, but unfortunately mods of these mods seem to be made by people with all the sixual maturity of a 12 year old who just found his dad's porm stash, more lacklustre CGI porm than including any meaningful sixual themes. I will confess to downloading the body replacers though, just because I can't stand the vanilla feet. Have you seen them, they don't even have toes. That and I'm not exactly a prude. There seems to be a weird attitude in the UK and US that incredibly bloody violence is OK, but any nudity and you're an evil paedophile child molester who makes games to corrupt our innocent kid's minds. Look at the Mass Effect 'scandal', admittedly what was Faux News but it's still pretty scary. We've all got one, guys.

'Delicate Aesthetics'? Maybe 'a desire for quality mods' would be a better way of putting it. No-one can stop them releasing these things, I mean they've been plopped into every game from the beginning of time (look at FAKEFACTORY's work for instance), but we can sure as hell complain about the quality and wonder 'who could possibly enjoy this'?

LOL at the toes remark. I hate those feet too and that's one reason I tried to stick with some body replacers for a little time. That and for some armor mods. But didn't like any of the male replacers (gave funny posture, like I mentioned in another post) so I removed them again. :/

I am not only annoyed by all these anime aesthetic mods, I am also annoyed by all the mods that add modern weapons and combat uniforms.

I wish there was a filter to get rid of all the Modern Warfare guns.

You really have to search to find quality weapons for Fallout that aren't from MW2.

Then there's the mods that replace the NCR armour with Desert Storm armour.

There's not enough WWII weapons available, and there's too many modern guns.

If I'm offending anyone who enjoys these mods, I'm sorry, but I really wanted to get this rant out.

Actually the anime styled ones i've seen are very high quality work, with very detalied textures, rivaling the quality of the better gun mods. And that is why i use them, highly detailed and usually very nice looking and abundant. No doubt there are the "Mini-nuke firing minigun" quality ones too, but personally i've not run across any.

I am not only annoyed by all these anime aesthetic mods, I am also annoyed by all the mods that add modern weapons and combat uniforms.

You don't want anything that violates the setting. I can understand and appreciate that, however for me "fits the lore/setting" is on a high place on my "Things i couldn't care less list", thus Dragunovs, SPAS-12s and Desert Eagles with Dragonskin Outfit it is :D
