Which Weapon would you Choose?

They'd do more than fine with 1.5x or 2x. Try it.

k. my opinion hasn't changed. Supressed Sniper rifle w/100% crit is the absolute best weapon i've tried for multi-situations.

Gobi.

Someone did a write up on the best weapons in the game, and Gobi wins hands down.

It's a bit overpowered, makes smashing deathclaws at level 10 trivial.

1. All-American, I say no more.
2. Its pretty simple, go to that shack and get Vance's 9mm SMG, this or This Machine.

Hunting Revolver.

I've barely found any uniques, because my lockpick skill is too low...

Super Sledge.

Oh Baby...

Why?

You never need to reload it.
You never get affected by a reload bug
You never jam it (unless you have fisto with you?!?!?)
You never waste caps to get ammo for it
You never need to go find rare mods to put on it
You never have to fiddle around with more than 50 repair for it
You never have to waste caps and time to find components to make special ammo for it or waste weight on ammo for it
You never have to take a chance getting a sneak attack since it's so quiet
You rarely have to worry about it breaking, although, with 50 repair you can feed it repair kits
It's relatively simple to acquire it
It's rediculously deliciously knock over happy leading to less gang banging from enemies

1 - Laser Rifle
2 - Laser Rifle

Yes, I know, gonna die because it can't penetrate most armor. But with the FO2 Gauss guns not in game, lasers are my choice. Lasers without goofy levels of ammo consumption, that I can put a scope on.

This Machine. It ignores armor and can take out a Deathclaw in 2 to 3 hits. Plus it is easy to get. I don't know why you would pick up anything else.

Can i just use the GECK to make my own super-weapon that turns any ammo into a missile and use that?

If not,
1: Hunting Rifle. Moderate damage, cheap plentiful ammo, and you can scope it.
2: Anti-Materiel Rifle. The excessive violence of a 50-caliber rifle is too sweet to pass up.

1. Knock Knock
2. Knock Knock... Just head over to Searchlight by following the highway... charge straight to the church... beat down or pickpocket for the key and voila!... You could prolly have it well before you reach level 4.

Don't you have to tangle with a Radscorpion Queen for that axe?

I've never checked out Searchlight much, so I don't know. If you really can get Knock Knock that early, that's insane! It's probably the best VATS melee weapon (21 AP per swing, decent damage).

I'm a huge shotgun fan, so I'll say

1. Lever-action shotgun - Great with the Cowboy Perk, good rate of fire.
2. Big Boomer - Unique Sawed-off shotgun that's really not too hard to get.

I prefer melee, so...

1. Thermic Lance :Sneak crit special moves can 1 shot Death Claws
2. Chance's Knife : Fairly easy to get early on if you can manage to avoid or kill the Cazadors in the area

Like that magnetic weapon on the alien mech in District 9? That would be sweet. It could catch bullets with a magnetic field and launch them like a shotgun blast.

propobly the q35 moddulator decent damage easy to repair cheap ammo although ammo is hard to get at the start. But tbh the
LMG is the perfect gun for this good damage abundant ammo.

Can we stop with Sniper Rifle cliche fanboyism already, 5x crit chance is a design mistake which I hope they will fix in the next patch.

Yup. Using sniper rifles feels like god mode. Throw a silencer on it and prepare to sneak crit yourself to sleep.

No love for Lucky?

Easy to get, repair, and use (stat wise). My choice for now.

Sniper + silencer seemed like too much.

First answer would be This Machine. Its a decently powerful weapon and I love the ping it makes.

Second answer would be This Machine as well.

Well, my reason isnt 'god', my reason is Im one of those people who like to hide on a high up ridge and all you hear is that single 'pfft' from the rifle, knowing your enemy wont have heard it, and when they find their comrade dead, a single bullet hole in the head, scared. :disguise:

Gobi Sniper! My favourite gun in the game :)

How to get it? level up assign points to lockpick ;)

My Second weapon is usually the Alien Blaster, for Deathclaws and Tougher Enemies at the start of the game when my character is still pretty weak. How to get it, Sneak and Run like hell.

Answer to 1&2: Knock Knock.

When i played as a serial killer who used an axe, i rushed and got it at level 2.

1) Gobi Sniper rifle or standard sniper rifle: .308 ammo is pretty easy to come by (especially compared to the .50 cal) and both do pretty decent damage, have a good rate of fire, are extremely accurate and don't eat up that much AP in VATS (if you use it).

2) Hmmm...All-American is technically possible to get early on, I suppose, but I'll go with Ratslayer? Or maybe the hunting rifle?
