Who is getting 60FPS on Ultra?

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 9:50 am

If you are able to get 60+ FPS, please post your specs. If you are below that and have a high end card that was supposed to max it please post your specs and FPS as well.

I'm getting about 4-5fps on Ultra :-( Made a thread about it here. http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1256485-skyrim-framerate-issues-ati-cards/

If anyone has any hints, I'd be super grateful.

Im guessing it adds AA anti aliasing to the FX like spells ETC,but just a guess.

Intel i5 760 CPU
4 Gig DDR3 Ram
2*GTX460 SLI (768 edition)
Win 7 64
October WHQL drivers.
1920x1080

Runs 60 all maxed out. Looks insanely beautiful, except for the shadows which are just strange mostly. Surprised at how well the SLI is supportered without a profile.

I have everything maxed out to high or ultra with FXAA 2x an 8800 GTX. Frame rates at the lowest are 35 and they're usually around the 40s. Not everything is an ultra but I don't think I can without a DirectX.11 card.

Game runs flawlessly on Ultra. Even boosted the FOV and shadows and stuff.

I'm getting a flawless 60fps while in 3rd person, getting some weird stuttering whenever I go into first person though.

It runs great for me on ultra but as soon as there's more than four NPCs it really slows down, gpu usage is also low on my GTX 580.

I got around 30-60fps with

i7 920@3,2Ghz
Radeon 6950@6970 2GB
12GB memory
@ 2560x1600

Ultra meaning everything except AA (using FXAA instead) and distant object detail on normal only :I

Didn't pay that much attention since the game runs well enough.

Edit: FXAA means that anti-aliasing filter is applied to the frame with a shader effect after the frame is rendered. FXAA smoothens out all jaggies while normal AA may not smooth all edges. So it's best to use normal AA or FXAA, not both. I use latter because it looks just fine at 2560x1600 and uses less resouces than normal 2xAA.
