Who Wants A Regular Fallout Comic?

Post » Wed May 18, 2011 7:36 pm

It really depends what talent they line up for it, I've seen some very bad spin off comics (Any http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/linkara/at4w/12151-sillenthill01 takes the cake)

I am sure they can get talent.

I am just waiting to read the Dark Horse comic in my Collector's Edition to pass complete judgment.

I don't think I would need a regular comic, but a graphic novel/one shot comic with background info on the region/factions would be nice. Anything to add more 'lore' to the fallout universe.

I hope this goes through. Problem is I am sure we will have to wait until December when Interplay and Bethesda head to court to see who retains the rights to Fallout. As much as I want to see a regular Fallout comic I am not sure it will happen if Interplay gets its way.

I would pay for it, as long as its worth it.

If it was free, it'd have something wrong with it production wise.

I've never even heard of it, I'm not much of a left4dead fan.

I like slow zombies.
Left4dead is fun but feels to tacked together for 60 dollars.

I'd buy it for 20(30 tops) bucks.

I'm gonna read it anyways.

I think they are having a sale for both games on steam atm. Might wanna check it out.
They're both fun games even if it's very twitchy.

Maybe.
Could buy a used copy.
L4D1 shouldn't be that expensive.
L4D2 on the other hand you might find for half price.

Anyway, if you like a game that relies heavily on cooperation and has Dawn of The Dead 2004 zombies in it then this is the game for you.
If you like slower zombies, an actual story and to lonewolf then it's better you save the money for something else. :P

Yeah my interpretation is its a great party game to play with friends nothing much else IMO.

But yeah time to stir this back to a FO comic.

I really like the artwork their going with in All Roads hope it stays that way if they go down a series idea.

Personally in my opinion Fallout should remain in the video gaming section. But thats just my opinion, comics are getting old now their only classed these days as collectables and not readable items any more. Fallout stayed as a game and should stay as a a game. On the otherhand, a movie about Fallout would be good :)

Lets see...

Comics not readable. Really...

Road to Perdition

History of Violence

30 Days of Night

The Walking Dead

All started out as comic books and plenty of new graphic novels are still good. The Wasteland comics being relatively new are great reads. Don't blame your bad selection choices on the rest of the comic world.

Did i say comics were not readable? Clearly are obviously <_< Just how many people do you see/hear talking about comics these days hardly any, there collectables now. Im not saying you can't read them its just the fact how many do now. Anyway we are talking Fallout here not The Walking Dead, 30 Days Of Night etc, Like i said its my state of opinion. So don't criticize on just one persons opinion, just cause someone thinks things differently doesn't mean you have to say im completely disagree with comics.

This is where you lose me.

A movie of fallout will either be turned over to some crappy writer or they would have terrible CGI and production.
Tis only a fantasy to make a good adaption.

Like that one guy in my movie post wanting Micheal Bay to do the Fallout film.

I swear if Bethesda gives the go head for the studios to use him there is no amount of psychiatric drugs that will keep me from going nuts.

I can see your point.
These days, video games that are turned into movies are terribly awful most of the time. But the idea of it would be pretty cool if it was placed in the right hands.

Try to be more clear next time. I felt you came across as being against them. Sometimes even I say things people take offense to with out rereading what I had said. I am prone to fly off the hammer as I am a passionate person. I am a Sith fan after all.

I would get it especially if it answers questions or explains things from all the games, I wouldn't mind that at all. Start at the beginning.

Well, im sorry. Its hard to show emotion/feeling/thoughts through via internet or text :unsure2:
Haha, to be honest i do like some comics i even have some of my own. It's just these days nothing interests me in reading books magazines and other things like that, I don't hate them just we have moved on. Like i could read any book on the internet possibly, without having to dread the feeling of how much left of the book is left <_<

Huh, I would think a great many people still read comics, and buy them for more than just collectors items. I've lent out my copies of Invincible to quite a few friends, and I regularly talk about comics with a good friend of mine, and she knows the owner of a local comic shop that's doing fantastically well and has a laaaarge amount of regulars that come into the shop weekly, as well as people just coming in randomly. And the comics section of my local Borders takes up a sizable chunk as well. I'd say comics are much more popular than you might think. Plus there is Comic-con...

The resurgence of movies based on comics is probably making them more popular with a larger number of people, especially since most of them have been well recieved, and Valve is having great success with their in-house made comics for Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2, which they post online for free and are of very good quality. Also, considering how popular the Fallout franchise has become, I think a Fallout comic would ding on many peoples radars. :)
