Why Isn't the Shrouded Cowl Fixed Yet?

I can't imagine any beard behind a cowl. Would be way too uncomfortable.

On the topic of beards, I want super long Merlin-esque wizard beards.

You can't see the face at all though on the nightingale cowl, and I can see how a beard could fit behind there. And a beard realistically wouldn't be able to fit behind the masked cowl.
Really?I've seen people with beards easily cover their face with bandana like masks. Beards aren't completely rigid.

It would have to be verlet or it would look very strange.

This isn't the only bug still in the game. The two-handed Artifact sword, Ebony Blade still uses One Handed Perks instead of Two-Handed.

The Nightingale and Shrouded cowl seems to cover the entire face and the lower jaw, rather than just the front of the mouth.

Wasn't verlet added in the latest patch?

It also doesn't show up for the female beast races. I'm playing as a female Khajiit and the mask won't show up

I don't think it is a bug.
This unique behavior may or may not be a glitch (see commentary below and talk). Investigation of the game code has confirmed that the weapon shares template data from both http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/One-Handed and http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Two-Handed swords leading to this mix of traits.

But it is useless the way it is. Why would the purposely eff up the only unique two handed sword? I'm not really sure why it wasn't one handed to begin with, since it was in OB(not sure about the other games.)

Mephala's trolling you. Gives you a sword, tells you to kill your friends to unlock its "true power" until you realize it's still [censored].

Exactly. I think they just did that to make it fit in with the quest. To me it does seem very strange that it would be the only weapon that has that "problem."

Not that I know of. Perhaps a few sheets but that would be it if any. Verlet surfaces for things like hair would be hard to implement on consoles.

Because you have a muzzle, if the mask was on your face would clip through.

Well beards work just find on all the heavy armor helmets. They can easily fix this issue
The Nightingale and Shrouded cowl seems to cover the entire face and the lower jaw, rather than just the front of the mouth.
The nightingale hood works without beards. There's no reason wearing a masked cowl could disable the beard model for the duration of the helmet being worn.
As has been explained again and again and again, Fullhelms such as Dwarven, Daedric, Steel Plate and Nightingale hood's completely replace the head, not one facial feature remains visible. Its why beast races don't clip through with their muzzile or ears.

The Nightingale armour mangages to remove the players hand and replace them with darker ones. They could just show the eyes. It can't be that hard just showing the eyes if they are able to remove the head in helmets. If they knew it wouldn't work why did they leave it in?
The armor has gloves which cover your hands, the "visible fingers" are actually part of the gloves. Its why you have the dark skin on a pale Nord. Removing the entire head is easy, the helmet simply replaces the head. Its partially covering the head thats so complicated. They left it in because the mask still works for human females. The fact remains that PC modders have failed to solve the beard clipping issue when they fix the masked cowl.

Interesting. So even if your male character doesn't have a beard to begin with, the cowl will still be open. I didn't know that

:( Now I'm going to go to the highest spot in Skyrim and jump off from it. While yelling: "You made me do it Bethesda".

Why did you quote my post? I was talking about how it would be uncomfortable to wear a cowl and a beard in real life, not about the feasibility of fixing it in game, which as I have said is impossible to do even with modding tools since Beth doesn't allow for any manipulation of the "beard" slot.
