Why!?

Why Bethesda? Why do you have to ruin the greatest game franchise ever?

Whatever, these games have gotten worse since Morrowind came out. Say yes to Progress....say no to resurrection.

Doubt it, it will probably be a cartoony dumbed down version of what we have now.

For all of its successes, the one thing Skyrim doesn't have is other players. Is there a chance we'll ever see a multiplayer title, or even an MMO, from Howard and his company? "You can never say never to anything like that," he admitted, "but it's not what our focus is. This type of game is where our hearts are, what we get excited about, and that's what we want to focus on. We don't want to lose that focus and we never want to sacrifice anything in the singleplayer game just to have it be multiplayer."

We don't even know that. It might turn out to be great, or it might not. It's definately worth following the game anyway and I'm excited to see how it turns out.

I don't care how it turns out, all MMO role-playing games ultimately svck because they leave absolutely no opportunity to actually role play.

I shudder when I think of the day that we will find ourselves wandering a Tamriel filled with 12-yo morons who call everyone they pass "[censored]" and "noobs." This is NOT what I play the Elder Scrolls series for.

Don't play it then and stay away from this section.

This is the fist thing I thought of. And I shuddered as well.

Why? Because you didn't take the time to read that its another studio and TES6 will probably come out regularly as planned even if this is as "bad" as everyone thinks it will be.

And if its "good", maybe TES6 will have more to draw from (both money and ideas)

Bethesda has nothing to do with The Legend of Zelda.

1) That's something of a stereotype.
2) You can always skip the MMO and wait for TES6 ;)

1) Hey, it's the truth. Have you ever played an MMO where you could just enjoy the world without any distraction?
2) What, and miss out on all the great lore that will undoubtedly be explored in this game? No, that's not an option.

That's not entirely true. LOTRO has quite a big RP following and 1 or 2 servers dedicated to it. I'm sure we'll have our fair share of annoying people but I don't think it will be as bad as you think.

The thing is I doubt we wiill even see TES 6. They will focus the entire series on the MMO and cant afford the competition for sales from the SP game.

Of course they can, not only are different studios working on them, but they are different gaming markets as well. Some people prefer SP games and some prefer MMO games, the best thing would be to try to make products for them both.

Then don't play The Elder Scrolls Online, and keep playing the regular single player ones instead :)

The market is the same I assure you , maybe except for a very small part which will not suffice to make a succes from a SP game. An MMO is supposed to be played for many years in order to make as much profit as possible, thats why I dont expect another TES game for a long time if ever again.
