Why were YOU crossing the border

Post » Sun Dec 11, 2011 3:19 am

So, who are you and why were you caught crossing the border ?
I'm Ragorr, a nord. Born on 4E 173, he grew up in the imperial city and learnt the way of the blacksmith there (lvl 100 smithing by now). I travelled in Elsweyr, went to learn the secrets of Khajiit smithing. There I devellopped a skooma addiction (which I repect in while playing. Always.Need.Skooma.). I fled the deserts to return to Cyrodiil (had a few problems with Dune's dealer...). Then I wandered through Tamriel, looking for something worth living for (and skooma), then I was caught crossing the borders and well, thanks to Alduin, I'm now kicking dragon asses.

A little imagination doesn't hurt anybody (exept dragons and skooma dealers).

There's an RP geek in all of us.

A wandering Redguard, blessed with the mysterious secrets of the Way of the Spirit Sword (bound sword ftw!), passing through bruma, stumbled upon Thalmor and attacked them, eager to avenge thier long-dead family, slain without mercy during the war. BUT IT WAS A TRAP! wounded, and lost in a blizzard, the Redguard stumbled into Pale Pass and was arrested.

Female orc mercenary fighting for Imperial army. Didn't get payed enough so decided to take a walk to Skyrim where, rumors say, a civil war is brewing. And where there is war there is job and gold for orcs :D
Too bad imperials caught me crossing the border and after trying to chop my head off made it personal.

Well, my character (a Nord, Harrik Stormborne); probably has the oldest story in the world. He was crossing the border back into Skyrim after an unsuccessful attempt at wooing an upper-class woman from northern Cyrodil.

1st char: Bosmer thief/assassin come to repair the darkbrother hood and thieves guild take lead of both and become rish
2nd Char: High elf part of special ops mage organization trained from birth to crush traitors with an unwavering faith to the Empire, now in Skyrim to quell the rebellion swiftly. I would have used illusion and broke out of helgen if it weren't for the dragon but it's cool.

Actually that 2nd one doesn't make sense because then I would have killed Ulfric at the start of the game, and the 1st one is real generic. Wish someone would make a character with a background story for me, I'm not so creative and don't know the lore all that well >.<

Hulgar (Nord;24)
He lived in Cyrodiil for 10 years, living and working for his uncle, Yarsted, who took Hulgar in at the age of 14 when Hulgar's village and parents were destroyed in Skyrim by ravage Bosmer. His uncle died, and instead of giving Hulgar his property, he gave him a carriage to his homeland, Skyrim.

Spoiler
Urzog, battle-hardened pariah. Born in the harsh lands of Morrowind, he found comfort in the nomadic tribes of its untamed wilderness. Normally, an outsider would be rejected. An orc would stand even less of a chance, but each shaman he was led to spoke of a power dormant in his blood. They told him of a perilous fate that awaited him, seeing through prophecy that he would one day be Tamriel's only hope of salvation, that he would one day be the only thing standing between it, and the razor-toothed maw of its annihilation... so long as the strings of his fate were not to fray, break, or sever beforehand.

Knowing the importance of the soul that stood before them, they took him in. Against all normality, this dragon-blooded orc was accepted into the society of the nomadic peoples of Morrowind. They raised him, taught him, and trained him to fight. Through their guidance, he grew. If his teachings grew frustrating, into the wild he fled, dooming all who dared venture too close to the raging whirlwind that was his axes.

Eventually, the day came when he claimed to his elders that there was no more challenge for him here, that he grew tired of this unchanging lifestyle. They told him of the awakening of an ancient race seeking to cloak the world in chaos, to raze its civilizations and terrorize its citizens on the eve of their destruction. They told him the time had come for him to meet his destiny. He was ready. They told him they knew not what form the trials before him would take, but only that he must venture to the west. To Skyrim.

Name: Urzog
Race: Orc
Gender: Male
Born: 18th of Hearthfire 4E 175

May he die a glorious death, a death to be envied by the greatest of warriors for generations to come. His legacy awaits.

Thinking back on it, probably would have been easier to go with "Tax-evasion."

My Khajiit, Lom, has a very bad sense of direction. Khajiit was looking for a particular Valenwood restaurant said to have the finest steak in all Tamriel. Khajiit doesn't know how she ended up in an Imperial ambush there. Honestly she was a little curious as to why all of the Wood Elves looked like Nords, but then Khajiit thinks all non-Khajiit look kind of the same anyways, so she didn't pay heed to it.

Now there are dragons, and the strange muscly Wood Elves keep calling her Dragonborn, and she hasn't found that restaurant yet and Valenwood is kind of colder than she expected too...

My argonian chopped off the head of Countess of Lyawin after seeing the torture room. Then the imperial guards find a large stash stolen goods in his house along with the head of the Countess and we''re not very happy to see that.
After trying to drown himself in ale and skooma he headed north and was snowed in a blizzard.

In short, Gwenneth fled from Skyrim after hitting someone on the head, lived in Bruma, then in the wilds near Cheydinhal for years, got her house set on fire by orcs and had a vision of her deceased mother urging her to return to skyrim.

I never found out

- why i was sent in jail in another dimension.
- who cast a spell so a storm could sink my boat.
- why i was sent in jail before being freed on an hostile volcano isle.
- why i was in jail under the imperial palace, specially in this very "off limits" cell.
- why i was cought then sent to be head chopped by the imperials since i was not on their damn list.

That makes 80% good reasons to hold a grudge against the empire.
