I came across a large boulder at the base of a waterfall with the body of someone known only as 'Alchemist' propped up on top of it. An Altmer in black mage robes. There are no bloodstains or signs of a struggle nearby, making it seem as though he died a natural death and was placed there by a loved one as a kind of open-air burial. I can't help but wonder, though - is this Alchemist the one to whom the Alchemist's Shack near Ivarstead once belonged? The Alchemist's Journal found inside the dwelling does contain the words, "I have moved my alchemy work outside the shack. I find the midday air is a boon to my health...,", which might suggest that he was ailing and that the midday air, though pleasant, did little to slow the progression of his illness.
Oh, and I've also noticed that giant camps always feature these stone bowls in which 'offerings' of alchemical ingredients and soul gems are placed. Not so much a 'weird' thing, but I find it interesting to think that they may have their own rudimentary sense of spirituality and perhaps even a god(dess) for whom the offerings are intended.
