{WIPz} Kamdoon

Evening all. And welcome to my epic mod for skyrim, an endless quest full of beauty and wonder.. EDIT:::: NOW NAMED TOO:

KAMDOON a massive area in High Rock, Above Daggerfall In the Wrothgarian Mountains between Vermeir and Thorvale :smile:
Much more to follow still very much a W.I.P.

this land is filled with Dungeons, caves, towns, ports, taverns, forests, everything you can think of and as massive and as insanely bold as possible. utilising all that the Creation Kit has to offer.. you wil be able to:

. fast travel, as this world is Massive..
. play through as any character, as i'm QA testing it to the max for all Architypes and playstyles..
. Go on a vast number of quests & side quests, fully thought out dialog, voiced "by me" whenever possible .. unless it's a female voice of course as im a guy lol!
. Utilize all the basics such as smithing, crafting potions etc, riding horses, picking flowers that i've placed with care throughout the various regions, Hunt game etc.



New Notes added 5/02/2013 :
To catalog where i'm at thus far i'm going to label the various details.

1901 Named Exterior Cells to date!
+ numerous exterior wilderness cells that have forested areas and just natural landscape to them. and there's still a ton of exterior cell space to fill yet!

18 Interior spaces to date.

Quests completed : 0 / 70
Quests planned : 5 / 70

Major Quests: 30 to create.
Side Quests: 35 to create.
Misc Quests: 5 to create.

Lines of Dialogue: 802 so far, and 23+ roles for those 802*. Much, much more to come!

Interiors ##
1x candlehearth Inn.
1x Farmhouse.
1x farmInn.
2x caves
1x nordic ruins.
1x Secret vampire hall { cave }.
1x bannered mare style Inn
1x Player home { Breezehome type }
1x Blacksmith {Whiterun style}.
1x Jorvaskr House.
1x Windhelm Palace type castle.
1x Skyhaven temple style Temple.

Main City's:

Morfolk Capitol#

- An open rocky tundra plains region with vast spanning roadworks branching off to various directions.
home to the Jarl* of Morfolk. The open wilds here are home to a vast variety of wildlife, it is especially
teeming with mammoth's and their Giant herders.

Ustenthiem Proper#
A strong fortification from the harsh environments and the harsher beasts that roam it's borders.
here houses the central hub of trade to all the other walled city's of Kamdoon.
it's also the home of the "Sahqon Spaan" or { Crimson Shield's } - In the common tongue.
a band of brave adventurers from all over Tamriel who've settled here.

it is completely walled off by snow in all directions, And beyond Ustenthiem' lies the towering behemoth of
a mountain where the high king of Kamdoon resides, tucked away in the comfortable castle walls protected by his finest guard.
It's also the main source of mead distribution to the various city states, and houses some of the finest Inn's in all of kamdoon,
said to be filled with colourful characters and the finest of song.

It's "Market Square" is home to the fishing village quarter. with craftsmen and women from kamdoon, skyrim, hammerfell, even blackmarsh & Elsweyr.
the housing here is strongly influenced by Morrowwind, with it's Igloo style homes, and lively trade taking place around the clock. It's also nefarious for it's
black market trade in Skooma' from the local Khajit & Argonian races.

Daggerfall Castle#
A place of great significance, yet in troubled times. most of it now is being rebuilt from dragon attacks, and warring skirmishes spilling over into it's borders.
daggerfall is a shell of it's former glory, with much repairs going on hold as the wraith dragon king Mogul Faar is determined to bring it to the ground,
resistence is strong, and hope yet lies on the horizon for this troubled state.

"{ VARIOUS }"

There are a bunch of other city's that are yet to be named etc.

{ CASTLES }

Wrothgarr Keep# (yet to be detemined is it's interior look and people etc)

Castle Solskaar#

A daunting palace not too far from Ustenthiem's White Mountain.
here is home to the Vampire clans and those delving in Necromancy, Mages cast out from the guilds for practicing the dark arts.
It also houses the Dockworks* where the Pirates and thieves guilds co - exist with the vampires, to further there own agendas.

it's ioslation from society allows them to rule over the area with an iron fist, as any one foolish enough to wander there is said to
never be heard from again.

( more castles are planned to be dotted around the world)


{Villages }

(a few collective villages exist from place to place, one so far amongst these is worth mentioning above the rest)

Driftwood#

On the outskirts of the k'vessi Forest' lies Driftwood# a small village nestled into the frozen waterfalls. Here holds the rural farming community's, livestock & wheat
growth, a humble inn and is also home to the "Fighters Guild". Where men & women come to train and to take on the role of slaying any fell beasts that stray too close to
the town. Also to hunt down the thieves & bandits who have robbed and pillaged the nearby villages and towns.

There's so much more i could say but i'll leave it here for now.

your right im no Khajiit.. lol..

this name however and some other at the moment are just references.. um, soon once i nail down a list of awesome names that fit into the skyrim lore ill make the nessessary ajustments.
right now im having trouble getting my friendly dragon to talk to me with the base MQ parthurnax dialogs.. ive ticked the right boxes under Flags such as "Hello's to player". etc. but he just sits there and doesnt talk, i can set up my own talk etc later but right now id love to get him to say the lines from the MQ... my Gf loves parthurnax :)

ok im still up now, and getting good at navmeshing fast, i barely look at the keyboard now as you get a feel for where the TAB, CTRL,Q & W is.
heres a shot showing some behind the scenes.
ive set up a new Faction & added my own GreyBeard SpeechCraft Master Trainer, who i based on Arngier but who i've modified to look completely different & with Dragonplate Armor instead of the robes, with decent equipment, an ai package, faction to accomodate the *Trainer Class*. and am currently adding lots more trees & scrubs of a combination of normal & Snowy type.

+Respect for showing up with work instead of a concept WIP page with no content and asking for a team of people to do it for you. :tongue: Pictures look good. Keep in mind scope, though, just as a point of advice, might plan for a smaller world and expand as it gets bigger. That way, if you don't finish as much as you want, you have a release-able world to enjoy. This isn't meant to discourage you, just friendly advice. All the pictures look fantastic. :)

i hear ya, but im being careful not to be too crazy here, i'll have a workable "area" Released then, see what people think then add expansions to that if its successful which i hope so concidering all the effort here so far :smile:
i've added today a waterfall section and some Tundra, a big statue of Azura, some more "mountainpeak_HeavySN" type mountains.., thought up over 35 new character NPC names, changed the name of "clint the wholesaler" to "Jaroslav the wholesaler". :smile: also fixed some bugs, added far more life to the world with sound and wildlife, +NPC's. also just wrote a short Novel* sized note thats in game' where it gives you an interesting quest to embark on finding what happened to "Jozsef the Third" - {Swindler} where you will go from the small town, into the mountains and into a watery dungeon.(Dungeon will commence tomorrow).

thats about it for now. and thanks about the pictures.. im trying to make a decent believeable world here. now.. im stuffed, goodnight lol :smile:

I'm back with an Update:

i'd just like to help keep you guys informed on what i'm doing,

right now i've nailed down the navmesh of the Exterior of the first *Dungeon* also cluttered it up with cobwebs etc.
ill show you some screens, one of which shows the location i put the note left by "Jozsef" and another showing the intro of that note. also some views of the dungeon enterance, and of Azura's Statue! enjoy :)

thanks everyone :) as much as this will be a learning curve for me for now, im still happy with the results so far :) so by the time i release this mod my next one will surely be even better.
and i find as much as i want to sit down, and expand further into the world that half the time is still spent in the areas i've already made, theres just so much testing i need to do. like how i have plenty of navmeshes but the Lvl Dragon i've placed in the sky, can go about flying through the ground etc still.... However in saying that he does also sit on various rooftops ive set him to, And he dives down along the ground when his health is low enough so thats good.

another issue, if you can call it that would be sound. i have music set up but theres big gaps with no music too, but these are all things ill get around.
Glad that you guys like this so far. i'll be sure to keep you posted :)
