Xbox Dawnguard is an open beta.

Exactly as the title says, the DLC is....... unfinished at best.
I personally was disappointed at the lack of actual features since VL and crossbows are the only new things added.

VL and crossbows where the only things added??
What about the werewolf perk tree?
What about the new armors?
What about the new smithing options?
What about the various special goodies that's hidden throughout the DLC to be found?
What about the armored trolls?
What about the armored dogs?
???????
That's it I'm toooooo lazy to continue, there's plenty added by this DLC, but you'll never know if you don't look for it

The armours are sub-par, the new dragons are at such a high level that no roleplayer will ever find them, the new 'houses' are unusable as actual houses and the Forgotten Vale is too out of the way to be particularly good for anything but eye candy.
The only real usable content added are the skill trees, both of which are overpowed compared to their downsides.

because there are a huge amount of problems which this dlc has brought with it, the problems vary from console to console and us xbox 360 users have to suffer so that the ps3 and pc versions can have a better experience :(

the OP is referring to xbox being an open beta for PC / PS3 and i agree. and as an xbox player, i wish ps3 had the exclusive 30days instead so they could deal with the bugs and create a good patch for the rest of the community.

I haven't had a single problem. Even before the DLC, I haven't had much problems besides a few misc objectives that I cannot do.

Yeah, there is a summonable horse, cross bows that are stronger than dragon bone bows, 3 new conjuration spells, 3 new offensive restoration spells, much smaller things like new falmer weapons and armor, even new falmer enemies, seriously, there is TONS of little things added and quite a few big things, i dont know what game you are playing, but obviously you dont know what you are talking about.

The only problems I'm having is increased lag and lot's (relative of course. I had freezing issues once in a blue moon before) of lockups and freezing.

All of those are reasons are your opinion. The new additions and armor might be sub-par to you but not to everybody else. I, for one, think the Dawnguard Heavy Armor looks amazing and is my favorite Heavy Armor armor in the game as it stands.

I don't think the dlc is worth $20. Im sure that Herth Fire is a dlc can't wait to see what its. The only thing that im woried about is when Tod Howard said some dlc won't be as big as Dawnguard. That worries me because Dawnguard is not that big.

Because the version that was released was the same version the original "beta testers" received.

He said "Lack of Actual Features" and the DLC added more to Skyrim than KotN did to OB. It has many great features and additions that improve the game. But if you walk into a huge car dealership and complain that 1 of the 500 cars has a flat tire then you are just LOOKING for disappointment

@eightball

There are new houses? where are they I havent seen any new houses in Dawnguard yet.

only the room that side room with barrels at castle dawnguard or the one at castle volkihar. but everyone is dead at castle volkihar after Harkon main quest is dead.

And you dont have a clean up option for castle volkihar either it stays train wreck from what ive seen so far.

Side note- cant even return back to soul carin even tho Seranas mother says you can.

I like the dlc dawnguard but I agree the dlc does seem short and small.

Dawnguard heavy armor is cool tho along with the huskie dog bran.

Armors being sub-par?

You really expected an armor made of leather and iron (Dawnguard armors) and (going off the shoulder plates) elven/gold armor shoulderpadded'd leather (royal Vampire armor) to be better than dragonbone and Daedric?

In my opinion, you expected too much.

Castle Volkihar becomes your player home by the way, Kung if you side with them.

Its YOUR fault if you side with the Dawnguard, you get a tiny room on the top floor as such.

Players are spoiled these days and expect way to much of things, expect things that aren't promised.

You can return to the soul cairn by the way, you just have to walk out of the side door by the entrance of the soul cairn so you discover "Castle Volkihar balcony"

@LBX

My fault? i disagree.

It was my choice and my $$$ spent to play yhe game the way I choose.

Also in another playthru I did side with the Vampires but only the side room becomes available.

If you place items in anyother room or anyother barrel for instance that item disapears perma after a few days if you leave there and not in the player based room.

So the castle really is not a full player home.

Who cares? There a ton of upgrade-able homes in the game already. Why does everyone NEED a base already filled with people to be their home? Really WHY?
