Xbox's back in the game.
I wonder what the figures are. Xbox180 is #1 but it's followed fairly closely by 4 PS4 bundles and distantly by a 5th.
Them overtaking ps4 in sales within a day is far from desperate, means they werent far behind in the first place.
Almost as newsworthy as Gamestop or whoever it was running out of day one Xboxes, which really meant you couldn't order one in the store, but could still order it online from them. Oh yeah, number 15, is that the release day PS4 dropping because it just sold out? Not saying anything about Xbox or PS4, just about what these sites consider interesting (which in an ideal world might be the upcoming games, perhaps?)
It's number one because all of the sales are "concentrated" in one sale. It's not really the one selling the best. Common logic could tell anyone this. M$ might limp by this generation wounded, but alive.
Edit
For the record even Amazon considers the PS4 to be the winner at least by polls they have conducted.
That poll was before their change of policy regarding DRM though.
In the Facebook poll PS4 took 94% of the votes.
It's way too late, the sales are in and done. Xbox might salvage enough diehards to limp by and make a come back at a later time. If M$ famed for not listening to anyone bowed, then you know the situation was dire. The asskicking reminds me of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNUqOoBBl40.
LOL, your foolishly clinging onto a notion that Xbox is dying, which it's not. As shown by the numbers.
Xbox one consoles.... 15 reservations in some stores. Ps4 at least 30 per store. Usually 60. Not to mention the Amazon page refutes you. PS4 has like 5 bundles selling in the top 10. Sony had more units manufactured to sell. I never said the xbox is dying, just beaten and defeated. Try again next time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sObyG9bTf5A.
To suggest that the console war is over 4 months before they even start shipping the things is a little excessive. I know how much everyone is enjoying bashing Microsoft, but try not to throw your brains out the window in the process. Those sales figures and polls are primarily the result of a small subset of very vocal customers who are determined to "stick it to the man", but they'll run out of steam before the thing is even released.
As a PC gamer, I really don't care what happens, but it would be nice to see more common sense and less circlejerking (for lack of a better word).
Edit: In short, these forums are feeling more and more like reddit every day, and that kind of stinks.
Considering our actions have already led to them folding their DRM I doubt it will be so easily forgotten. The publicity was so bad for the xbox it was on TV being discussed and bashed by casuals. It's done for, at least initially. I never said it's done forever, but for the first.... year it's going to have a tough time. Just wait until the rumored hardware problems turn up. All of the other rumors up till now have turned out to be true.
I'm reveling in their own self demise.
If you don't like the Xbox don't buy it but I don't see how it being killed off would be a good thing for anyone but Sony. Competition is a good thing.
The horses haven't even left the gate yet and we're calling the race? Really?
Good for Microsoft, they were at first making it too easy for Sony.
I would like to thank Bender Bending Rodriguez.
Which is why both consoles using AMD is a very good thing after the trouble they had with Bulldozer. If the Xbox sells enough to make some mark, that's Sony and Intel kept from monopolising their markets.
IMO it's the first holiday season after the launch that will tell the tale. Santa Claus always has the console sales conversion data first.
Don't break your teeth on his shiny metal ass.
There's only one option for the Xbox, whereas there are a handful of bundles for the Ps4. If there's only one choice for the Xbox, naturally it will sell better than the individual Ps4 bundles. We would need the sales figures for each of the Ps4 bundles to discern whether or not the Xbox has "passed" it. Unless I'm missing something.
