Yagrum Bagarn the last Dwemer

Hence cure being in quotation marks

The red year removed my love for Azura.
All her talk about caring for Morrowind and she didnt even send so much as a dream to a likely hero.
She just let it happen.
Her only care for the events of Morrowind was revenge.
And I am sad I was duped by her for so long :(
I follow Meridia now :)

edit: quoted wrong person, meant to be post above me.

Divayth?
Older than two empires and era's, older than and survivor of the Triune?
He wouldnt abandon his friends. Yagrum is safe if Divayth is.

See my post above.
It is more likely (and fun) if he levitated his entire island to safety.
As powerful and ancient as Divayth is he couldn't forsee the future so he was probably killed when the moon fell and the volcano erupted. I hope not though.

The Daedra ultimately care for their own ideas and ways and they will do something if they can gain something even if they act like they are being virtuous and good. I still like Azura even tho the events of the red yeaar and the Nereverine revenge plot.

His island was far away, I'd say he would have had at least a few hours before the effects reached it.

I believe it is.
It certainly is referenced in an Oblivion book about the plane of Azura no longer being accessible by mortals.
Or.. I might be wrong. 90% sure though.

edit: any idea on what book contains summoning dates?

I contest that.
Anyway, anyone can provide a source on daedra an summoning dates?

I thought it might be varieties of daedra but its not.

edit2: http://www.imperial-library.info/content/azura confirms canonicity.
These things would not be on the Imperial Library without a flag stating it was not canon, if it was not.

It would be very cool.

Almost a year ago a poster put an idea on a thread related to this that I still find intriguing.

Divayth is a big awesome wizard.
So at or just before red year, when Baar Dau fell, he would have just levitated his entire island, tower and all, to safety.

It would be very, very awesome to have in Skyrim a floating island in the sky that travels from city to city and can only be accessed by arcane means.
Cranky cold mudcrabs and all, cant you just see it? trailing roots through the air as it goes from Whiterun to Winterhold.

Something for a mod, Id think.
There's already a big city floating round powered by....arcane means.
If anyone survived the destruction of Vvardenfel, I would bet on Divyath Fyre.

I forgot the specifics, but couldn't he have used the potion he gave to the Nerevarine to Yagrum? And thus made him immortal. He'd still be a big blob of tumours... But yeah.
It wasn't the potion that makes the Nerevarine immortal, it was corprus. The potion took away the negative effects of corprus, but left the immortality and disease immunity alone. So Yagrum has been immortal for a long time.

EDIT: People have already talked about this so ignore me.

id love to see the fat man and fyr somewhere in skyrim
i would imagine its possible for him to be cured at this point
fyrs had plenty of time since morrowind to experiment, and dagoth urs death and the destruction of the heart made corpus pretty much obsolete
idk if thatd have an effect on someone who already had it though
but im definitely hoping to see the both of them :celebration:

I'm still not buying it
The characters are not even in character.
Azura screams like someone with 1 braincell, Vivec rambles on like a moron and seems to have lost it. etc

Maybe, but levitation was scrapped, remember? XD

Vivec I believe was voiced by MK, the man who created the character.
I do not know who was Azura.
You can see remnants of other forum posters in the mages that Vivec silenced, lol.

Lore buffs will be able to help better on this.

I am assured that the events at Hogithum Hall are canon.

He's already immortal. That is one of the effects of Corprus.

Divayth is a Telvanni.
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Baladas_Demnevanni_%28person%29 didnt care about Imperial taxes even when they ruled the island he lived on.
"I was here before the Empire, I will be here after it is long gone."

Divayth doesnt care if the Empire outlawed levitation.
In Oblivion there was this rumour in the Empirial City about a wizard who just wasnt the same after they outlawed levitation.

That was one smart, badass, immortal wizard.

I once visited him at a low level and he just brushed me off.
He said something like: 'no, Im not interested. Not your fault maybe, but go away.'

The man doesnt even want to talk to you unless you have some experience he can learn from.

Best character in Morrowind, after Vivec and it is not hard to see that if any Dwemer remained, Divayth would be at the heart of it.

He was an epic character very few others interested me as much except all three of the Tribunal.

I remember when I went to see him at a low level and he said that line to me and I was intrigued by his mystique, so I kept randomly going back to him wondering why he was there in the game and so on. Then I find out stuff on him reguarding the main quest and him giving you that potion to make you immortal and so on he is just epic. :trophy:

I was unsure if the Corprius disease made people "immortal" or not. I think that only adds to the chance of "reviving" him for another TES game! :celebration:

Yagrum would have absolutely no reason to be in Skyrim.

Yagrum would have absolutely no reason to be in Skyrim.

Except that he is immortal and unageing due to corprus and that Divayth would most certainly escape the fall of Baar Dau, and wouldnt dream about not saving his friends as well if at all possible.
