I wouldn't call my situation just a case of negative bias, although I am rather cynical and pessimistic about things(I prefer the term realist

) I think it's safe to say that someone has bad luck when they finally get a stroke of good luck, they are more suspicious than happy. Good luck only exists to distract me from the incoming bad luck, so I make sure to watch out. Plus, if there are 5 things in a day that requires chance and one was good luck, I can narrow it down to which part of my day will have bad luck. One less thing to worry about.
From my point of view, luck has no play on the outcome of any situation, though (because it's just a word we use to describe the outcome.) It's not like we're given a daily allotment of luck; "You can have no more than 4 good things happen today."
What negativity bias is, though, say you had 2 bad things and 2 good things happen to you in a 6 hour time period, of about the same magnitude. You would more likely than not believe that you had bad luck for that 6 hour time period. Negative events tend to cloud over positive events in perception, for some reason, sometimes to the point we actually start to feel like the positive events may have been neutral, or that we forget about them.
