Creative Fat1lity Headphones...... once I saw the packaging I realised I am tool. :pinch:
I have the same pair and I don't necessarily hate them, but they are highly disappointing. Do you feel the same?

Any halfway decent pair of speakers/headphones will give you directional sound. I have a pair of 7+ year old Logitech 5.1 speakers which sound great and give me directional sound. I also have a pair giant Koss Studio headphones that are awesome. The bass is pretty shallow in them, but the audio quality is as good as stuff I've heard from $150+ sets. It also only cost me $60. Sure, they're bulky and pretty unattractive, but I'll take functionality over appearance almost any day.

I prefer my 7.1 speaker system, it sounds a lot better than my turtle beaches.

I've got a rockin' pair of $10 Radio Shack headphones that I've used for about 6 years now. I'll admit I did finally get a pair of $30 Logitech 2.0 amplified speakers for Christmas, for my gaming PC.

(feature I needed the most was the volume knob - I've got my PS3 and PC hooked up to the same HDMI monitor, and the built in volume controls svcked for adjusting the different baseline volumes of the two devices.)

As long as we're talking about the audio equipment that we play games on, I would like to say that I have never owned a headset and that I instead use a pair of speakers just kinda found lying around the basemant about 6-7 years back. They're Pioneer CS-V110 Speakers. Powered by a Sony STR-AV57 "Audio/Video Control Center" which I also found.

Ripped from desctrption:
"150W 6 Ohm. Directional tweets...meaning they will rotate and move left and right. They have 8" woofers and 3 1/2 tweets."
