If you don't have Turtle Beach headphones, you don't love Sk

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 6:24 pm

Seriously, my dad got me a pair of the amplified headphones and Skyrim. I used them the first day, and they rock. I love these things. Allows me to hear directionally, so things be hind me sound behind me, left sounds left, etc. Plus I can use them while using my surround sound, or turn my surround sound off and play through the night without pissing off my girlfriend or the neighbors. If you don't already have a pair, you really need to make the investment. If you want to do it right, get them with a Niko charger station and you can use the USB port off the station rather than your console so you and keep all the calbes close to your surround sound, not dangling from the console near/ in front of your TV.

So, if I don't spend another £40 on top of the £130 I've already paid for my Skyrim Collectors Edition I don't love Skyrim. Meh...

I play the game with Zalman 5.1 surround sound headphones, and I "love" Skyrim.

So your point is countered

I play with the music off and really enjoy skyrim. I thought advertising on these forums was against the rules anyway.

I use a generic set of computer speakers I've had for maybe 12 years and I love Skyrim. What's more I get very good audio quality, such as directional audio. So I'd say you are full of crap.

Also, this is basically pointless advertising.

I'm using a rather massive Sennheiser headset. Last week I was using a rather masive Plantronics headset. My music sounds different (ie. requires different equalizer settings), but the difference in games isn't enough for me to care one way or the other. I just switched because my mic was broken and I couldn't use Skype.

Nice, i'm thinking of getting the DSS controler for my Turtle Beach to get the surrond sound running on them, but dropped so much into Christmas, i don't think i'm going to be albe to pull it off for a few months. Surround pretty sweet though, right?

No need to flame the guy. He's just stating what he likes to use while he plays. I use the same brand and yeah they are pretty damn good.

Thanks bud, but totally see the point. Glad I could get the discusion going. Getting the mixed responce and review from other users on what they use, enjoy, and are finding work best is rad. My Turtle Beach headset isn't even high end, it's the 60 dollar set, but super surprised at what a differnece it makes. I kind of want to look into those Sennheiser ones the others where talking about, seeing that several are standing by them, but I don't know if they're gonna be an import or not. That alone would spike the price, and i'm working on a tight budget.

Right. Where is the flaming?

He said he likes his Turtle Beach headset. And others are just pointing out that there are other good alternatives too. And that several of us also use headsets. No flaming here.
