Do you feel pressured to be Nord?

I will play a female Nord. Like I have since Morrowind. Not that theres any particular reason for that...

I've always played an Imperial and IMO they have as much if not more business being "dragonborn" like the septim line. Honestly play whatever you want but Ive always thought Imperials can pretty much feel right in any TES story.

Somewhat. Just to be a badass barbarian. I will most likely make a character in each of the classes just to see how the game feels with each. First playthrough is my favorite, Bosmer assassin, then a Nord warrior and finally a high elf / breton destruction mage. Maybe even a conjurer / warlock type somewhere too :)

Not at all. In fact, kind of the opposite. You start the game making an illegal border crossing - this makes less sense for a Nord than for a traveler of any other race.

No Nords for me! :D

No. I will be a Nord at some point but it won't be for a while.

Starting off as either Wood Elf or Breton.

I don't know if I'd call it pressure, but the story line would probably feel more epic playing as a burly nord, swinging a two hander and making the blood flow.

I'll definitely play through the game once as a Nord, though probably not my first time. A breton or altmer mage will probably be my first character.

Pretty much how I see it.

Also the idea of being a Nord just because the game takes place in Skyrim is pretty lame. And Nords bore me. I may make a Nord somewhere down the line, though. And if I do at all, it certainly won't be before I've played an Imperial, Khajiit, Bosmer and Orsimer...

Agreed. I always play Imperial, nothing else. Just because it is in Skyrim doesn't mean i have to play as a Nord.

I don't feel pressured... But part of me really wants to be one, just because they fit the setting so well! My first character is going to be an Imperial thief/assassin though.

As long as my Breton doesn't shout like a wimp then I won't be playing a Nord till perhaps the second play-through (which is normal for me).

it's not that i feel that a non-nord shouldn't be dragonborn. as with morrowind and oblivion, i feel that an outsider fulfilling the prophecy makes for an interesting twist, and should help the believers in such prophecies welcome you into the world despite your race.

it's the political situation between stormcloaks and the empire that has me a little annoyed. i've got a very strong feeling that:
1) the empire svcks now
2) the stormcloaks are too pro-Nord

Nope, don't feel the pressure either. My Breton (like pretty much every Breton) feels the same like the Stormcloaks, since Bretons too don't like to be ruled by the Emperials.

Nope. In oblivion I was a Nord. In Skyrim I'll most likely be an Imperial.

Since any race can become good at anything, my choice is only based on how easy each race is to my eyes. Judging by what I've seen so far, Nords give me good vibes so I will probably go with them even though I'll be playing as a mage.

Yes, I definately feel pressured to be a Nord. Not just because of the storyline though. I'm just having a really tough time deciding between Nord and Breton.

i feel more pressured by the 50% frost resist than by the fact that they are nords. Seems like theres a lot of frost damage. Wish imperials had some kind of magic resistance to them.

TBH the Empire/Imperials needs to GTFO and just die already.
