Do you guys hate people getting it early?

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 2:43 pm

I've just seen a thread about a guy getting Skyrim early, he was reporting major bugs. And he just got a load of hate for it, why? I've gotten my past 2 games a day early (Gears3 and BF3), and i didnt get any hate from there forumn members. I was expecting Skyrim today, but i didn't, if i got it today and posted about a bug of here, would i get as much hate as this other guy did?

Whats so criminal that he got it a day early? Not exactly his fault seeing as it's upto the company he pre-ordered from to send it out to him. I'm just really confused about this.

What do I care?
I won't be getting it for a month or so anyway
Sadly these forums are probably going to be dominated by people who either consider Skyrim flawless or the worst game ever for a while

both Gears3 and BF3 were dispatched 2 days before release and arrived the next day. My Skyrim was dispatched yesterday (2 days before release) and didn't turn up, safe to say i was dissapointed.

But I've never seen someone get so much abuse for getting it early.

I don't hate people getting it early, I hate when they come on here and complain about stuff and the game's not even officially out yet. Until midnight tonight, Bethesda reserves the right to announce another patch or have the opportunity to find and fix these issues, because the game isn't technically out yet.

Plus each and every one of them acts like they're special and unique and insist upon starting a new thread, even when there are a dozen of them already started. That's just ignorant forum behavior, so it wouldn't matter if I cared or not, at that point I just don't like 'em.

/This.

If you get it early, then please don't complain too much, the release day patch is not due until 11/11/11.

I don't hate people who like the same games that I like

Btw: Steam has patched my pre-loaded version twice now, not sure there's going to be *another* release day patch

Why the hate?

Simple. Because there is no way to enforce an age verification system, and the forum is flooded with immature bratty children, that cry about someone else having something they do not.

I don't see a problem with it. I hope they enjoy the game, I know if a store here was selling it early I'd buy it and play it before the release.

i understand your point about it if there was already countless threads on it, but this guys bug was something that i haven't seen reported yet. And it was a pretty big bug.

Hahahaha!!!! In Europe we are used to getting games 4 days after the US release, and this was an improvement over the 2 week delay there used to be.

I am not going to get my knickers in a twist about someone else being able to play a day or a matter of hours before me. Anyone who is upset by it is likely used to getting things first and never realised how privileged they were and is now moaning cos they're no longer first in the queue. Get used to it!!!

Well, my brother got it early for the Xbos so I just congratulated him.

I got my own Skyrim preloaded and ready for tomorrow anyway so it doesn't really bother me.

PC Skyrim is the better Skyrim ^^

Not really, to be honest i don't even read their posts due to spoilers.

Though i do read to get some feature information and some graphics information, that is about it though. I don't mind them getting it early though no.

Nope.

Especially because, by the time I get it on Friday and install it, they'll have figured out all the "AAAAA! It's crashing!" problems.

Mm hmm, this, kinda. I'm not really "envious", it's more like I'm anxious. I don't mind waiting until tomorrow, but i am getting antsy.

I could care less, really. It doesn't effect me. Why should I care so long as they don't spoil the game for me.

I have the game and I think most of the people that already have it are nit picking at things that are no big deal. so day it has lived up to my expectations and I think that is because watching the demo vids a couple of months back you could tell there were minor graphical issues. But it was for the depth and gameplay that you really wanted the game for at the end of the day and for me it does deliver that in a big way. So don't get disheartened by these people complaining because the games great.

That's just the nature of game communities nowadays. Used to be supportive, now it's all whining. You'll see a lot more complaints than praise, because the people who love the game will be playing it. The ones who don't will be on here, "angry letter to the editor" style.
