Post » Sat May 12, 2012 6:02 am

i always buy the games i look most forward too for the xbox.

sitting comfortably in my recliner with my controller on my flatscreen beats sitting at my desk clicking the mouse and keyboard many times over ^^

I have platform regret due to the fact that Bethesda did the same mistake as with Oblivion and tailored the UI for console garbage. Although, as soon as modders fix it like they did with Oblivion I'll be a happy camper again.

I don't understand why anyone would get it for Xbox and not PC. It's the same game and nothing stop you from using the controller with the PC version.

Because you don't need to upgrade a 360.

Because not everybody can connect their PC to a big screen and play it comfortably from a couch.

Because not everybody has a wired 360 controller to plug into their PC.

Because some people just like to play certain games on consoles.

But really, you don't need to understand it. It is what it is.

I bought it for the 360 and I most certainly do NOT regret my decision. Wireless controller, from the couch, big-screen TV, and I didn't have to move/upgrade/unplug/replace/whatever my PC. I just put the disc in the 360, recline, and play.

edit: I so very dearly love threads that bring out the [stricken from the record because of under-age forumites] PC elitists.

No buyer's remorse here. I'm happy with my PC. I don't even own a console.

so i put in over 40 hours no problem on my ps3. the lag on my system is not as bad as it is on other peoples, but it still can get painfully noticeable. i've seen how terrible it can get when we played skyrim on my friends ps3, slideshow that made the game UNPLAYABLE. then last night i got a quest bug where i finish the quest, but the next one in the quest line will not start. I am dead in the water. This sort of put me over the edge. This sort of stuff must have come up during playtesting. How the hell can a company release something that is so obviously an unfinished product on some platforms, mainly ps3? for someone that bought the CE edition, not too happy. they better patch it.

I typically game on my MacBook Pro in a Windows 7 partition, so my graphical abilities are fairly limited. I knew I could play Skyrim on my computer, but I assumed I would have to turn down the graphics a lot and have low FPS (my computer is just below the recommended specs). I, for that reason, decided to get it for PS3. I'm really not a console gamer at all. I'm much better with a mouse and keyboard. It took me a lot of time to get used to the PS3 combat controls (I still sometimes find myself spinning in circles trying to fight sometimes), but overall the graphics are beautiful and it's nice playing on my giant 1080i TV.

I don't regret getting it for the PS3, but I am still going to miss the unofficial patches that I enjoyed with Oblivion on the PC.

I have the PC version; no regrets and I actually like the UI. Maybe I'm an anomaly?

Ummm it's perfectly easy to understand. Not EVERYONE can afford some top of the line , amazing PC to handle Skyrim.

OMG STOP SAYING THAT I'LL GET CRAZY.

IT IS A MYTH FFS !!! It is not more expensive to buy and maintain a decent PC, especially to play console ports you don't need a "top of the line , amazing PC to handle Skyrim" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every 2 thread I read this MYTH, please INSERT IN YOUR BRAIN, PC PLAYING IS NOT NECESSARILY MORE EXPENSIVE. Games cost less so you save back on every buy, AND you don't need to upgrade your rig all the time, like people seem to think !!!! ! Especially for multi-platform games that are made to work on old console-level gear !!!!!!!!

Sorry about the caps and such but reading this crap argument over and over is driving me CRAZY !!! Talk about confort, or anything, but in the long run, PC is cheaper !!! especially since you do so many other things on a PC meaning you regroup and optimize the media activities !!!!!!!

bbl I'll go seppuku myself.

I'm on 360. The game looks and plays super crisp. I'm amazed how well it plays. The only thing i dont like is i screwed up my character early trying to figure things out. I would have started over but I was so far in and some of the stuff is so lengthy to go through. I just want to change my appearance and a few stats i put points in early i shouldnt have. But i can't on a console. On pc I'm sure there would be a hack eventually to do this.

So I'm stuck looking at my ugly asz character who is a rogue with points in heavy weapons and armor that i never use. I'm strictly light armor and weapons with alchemy, enchanting and some magic.
