Your favorite super hero?

Post » Sat May 11, 2013 11:14 pm

This a thread for the discussion of Marvel Comics and DC Comics characters. Everyone post your favorite heroes from each class!(Actual Powers[Superman, Spiderman], Gadget powers[Iron Man, Batman], villains[The Joker/Loki] and Anti Heroes[Deathstroke, Deadpool])

Mine are Wolverine, because it must be hard to be a Canadian badass and he excels perfectly at it. Iron Man, for having awesome smarts, awesome music and the world's most awesome power armor. Favorite villain is Green Goblin, because he scared me when I was little, and Deadpool, because Deadpool.

Growing up it was always The Punisher and Wolverine. But now that I'm an advlt I like Batman and Deathstroke.

Batman is the great detective and Deathstroke is a super soldier.

It is tough for me, but I would say Nightwing because he is such a badass. But I like Batman just as much.

Spider-Man.

With great power comes great responsibility.

That just really hit a chord with me.

Yeah, that's a good philosophy. A great one. Spider-Man is definitely one of my favorites.

Rorschach. Being one of the pinko liberals he hates, I obviously disagree with his philosophy, but there's something extremely badass about a superhero who is basically a hobo with no special powers but being a relentless sociopath. Besides, dat mask. He's a compelling character as written, but add Jackie Earle Haley's performance and it makes Rorschach the most memorable character in a movie full of memorable characters.

Heroes are overrated. Give me Doomsday and let me watch him pounding the crap out of superman.

You should play Injustice: Gods Among Us then, you can play as Doomsday and beat the Kryponite out of Superman all day ;).

Another vote for Rorschach

Watched the film version of The Watchmen recently and it was awful but Rorschach was ok. Hes that good a character even a really bad film can't ruin him

Magneto and dr. Doom.

I know people, most comic book writers included, see them as villains, but I disagree. :)

Depending on how it's written, Spider-Man. I think he's at his best when the writers incorporate all those little things you don't think about in superhero comics due to suspense of disbelief. Like having to wash his suit without getting caught, how people would realistically react to people in suits causing massive property damage, etc. That's what makes him stand out.

Real shame about One More Day. :(

Ive got this thing for redheads and always liked MJ. I still have their marriage issue.

Its like they just erased a part of my childhood. I dont know why story makers these days seem intent on erasing my childhood but they did it with star trek too. :/
