Your Khajiit characters

I just created a Khajiit yesterday :)

Rae'loh is a sneaky thief/assassin who avoids contact with others as much as possible.

He'll steal anything he can get his hands on, though he dislikes carrying a lot of heavy stuff around. He especially can't resist stealing food and drink whenever possible and usually eats and drinks it on the spot.

He enjoys hunting wildlife (or livestock) as well as people, but tries to avoid killing "innocent" folk. Of course, if they catch him picking their pockets or stealing from their house... they don't leave him much choice, do they?

He doesn't much care for magic, neither using it nor being attacked with it. He hates manual labor with a vengeance, so he doesn't pick flowers, doesn't mix potions and doesn't smith nor enchant anything.

He likes using bows and daggers and does not wear armor. He prefers wearing simple clothes without flashy colors and especially without any metal parts.

Niski is a very young khajiit.

She had never been outside of her homeland until about a month ago, when she and her family traveled to Skyrim as part of a trading caravan.

Having just left Helgen the group were on the way to Winterhold when they were attacked by bandits. Niski and her sister were able to escape during the initial attack but became separated while running away.

Niski found a camp of soldiers and went to them thinking they would help her. She was instead tied up and brought to a large tent. There, she was brought before a man she would later learn was Ulric.

Ulric untied her and fed her. He then began to caress her arms and touched her in a way that frightened her. She jumped away and attempted to flee but was suddenly frozen in place. From the shadows of the tent appeared an old man who was taking to himself and moving his fingers as if tracing runes. Some type of wizard.

Ulric slowly walked up to Niski and began to wipe away her tears with his fingers. He whispered to her that he had never "had cat" before and told her that nobody, especially a cat, said no to him.

He then picked her up and carried her to his bed.

Niski could not resist. She couldn't move. She couldn't speak. But she was screaming inside.

After several days as Ulric's captive the camp was attacked. Some ran, many were killed, and a few, including Ulric and Niski, were captured and taken to Helgen.

Niski hates bandits for attacking and killing her family. She hates Ulric and his army for what they did to her. She mistrusts the Imperials for wanting to behead her when she did nothing wrong.

She just wants to find her sister and go home.

That's not going to be easy.

I don't know if it qualifies as roleplaying but I've named my Khajiit Thufir Hawat after the Dune character and have modeled his skillset after that which Hawat might possess.

When I play I feel that most racist is actually Bethesda, giving Khajiits all bad roles in this game, especially female ones  Even Aragonians have their own 'tawern owners', and no such luck for Khajiits.

I wonder how we can improve in game this feeling of being treated subpar by some people?
I have one simple idea, like random encounters, in which we could met group of hunters, who actually would try to hunt us for our furs. It would add real meaning to 'You'll make a fine rug, cat' And maybe some shops having Khajiit pelts in stock, just to add some silent insult?

K'helt, Ra'vash and Dar'Shavir sure look like they would be liked by Raksha, just like J'derras. Umm, it's getting hard to track all these nice cats, so if you are nice and at least trying not to get Khajiits a bad name, you can be sure that Raksha would treat you kindly and welcome you as a visitor

He enjoys hunting wildlife (or livestock) as well as people, but tries to avoid killing "innocent" folk. Of course, if they catch him picking their pockets or stealing from their house... they don't leave him much choice, do they?
Make sure Rae'loh stays away from Breezehome. We can actually forgive some thievery, if story behind it will be good, but if he hurts our Tsavani during our absence from Whiterun, Raksha and others will hunt him down and have his tail.

jpo:
Poor Niski, Raksha sure will try to help if she will ever meet her.

Hmm, hearing story like this could be a good reason to not like Ulric, and maybe actually to side with Imperials during war. I have to think about It, thanks for inspiration

^ I love how they keep telling my Khajit he would make a good rug. I want to tell them they would make a nice meal on my Khajiit's table.

RPing a Khajiit doesn't work for me since my brethren aren't permitted in the cities. Tell me a real Khajiit would let that slide. Bethesda took the racism too far in that aspect, it hurts immersion when you are the only Khajiit in town.

Khajiit tends to wear a Helmet, and pretends no one notices. And when one is asked about the tail, he tells them it's an elaborate decoration now in fashion in Summerset Isle.

I don't really understand the meaning this word "roleplaying khajiit". That means stick to in-game stereotypes? Isn't awesomeness of role-playing to be able pick altmer and make him furious barbarian who smashes and crashes everything on sight? I can understand role-playing class or "profession" but role-playing race?

J'derras has a different tactic. Walk around like you belong there. If anyone questions him on his presence, he plays the victim.
Such quotes he might use include, "What's skooma?" Obviously, playing ignorant making the person seem like a jerk to his own eyes.
"Last I checked, no guards have tried to push me out of the city."
"Are you really willing to try and make me leave?"
"To whom will the guards aid if you attack me first?"

J'derras is proud to be Khajiit. No Nord is going to tell him where he can and cannot go.

Can't you thieve/assasin types just put some random Khajiit NPCs in cities to make it more plausible to you?

SalamatiiQus:
For me, RPing Raksha means that I play someone who looks like cat, has to deal with her race stereotypes and some racial prejudices. It makes here mad, because she is not a thief.

I've seen a lot of nice back-stories here, but I wonder, do you have something similar when it comes to your adventures in game? Something like quest as seen by your Khajiit.

I'll give you a very short example of one of my quests early in game (Ill Met By Moonlight), and this is how Raksha sees it now.
Spoiler

Raksha has bad memory of Falkreath. Back then, where I was alone and felt very lonely, Falkreath was my first try to get in touch witch other Khajiits, as I heard there were fellow hunters there, some of them even cats. I was so eager to met them. You know, I was a hunter back home, so I thought we would get along just fine.

To keep it short, Raksha will only say that it was a complete disaster. First Khajiits I met here in Skyrim, and Raksha has to fight them in self defense with not so bad werewolf by her side. Raksha was really devastated, so many hopes destroyed... And I only wanted to reason with everybody, to stop this stupid onslaught...

J'Kesh is not a normal Elsweyr Khajiit. J'Kesh is from Morrowind, not Elsweyr -- he was a servant for Telvanni. J'Kesh does not tell those stories, but J'Kesh doesn't like wizards much, and elf wizards least of all. So J'Kesh does not steal from nice people. And J'Kesh does not use magicka. J'kesh shoots well and swings a sword. But perhaps there is something odd to the Wizard's tests -- J'Kesh can steal the souls of dragons. J'Kesh is told that emperors did this, but J'Kesh doesn't know much about it. J'kesh thinks that these things must be in books, but he cannot read the books.

actually if you want a good reason to RP a sneaky Khajiit skyrim gives you some good reasons. everyone is racist so maybe you could not cut it making money hoensty? so you had to resort to some less then legal means in order to survive?

That's how I am roleplaying my first Skyrim Khajiit character, a dual wielding thief/assassin. He hates the Imperials because they tried to cut his head off for no good reason and he is not too fond of the Nords because they are racist against Khajiit, so he has no problem with stealing from (or assassinating) Imperial and Nord alike.
Also as a PC in skyrim i also feel detached from the rest of the people in the world (obviously they all just live at home and go about daily routine, you adventure) so i tend to connect more with the trade caravans and wandering hunters and fishers, wich in itself feels more Khajiit like to me as your not to welcome in the cities anyway and spend most of your time out in the wild anyway.

but im bias, playing cats sense morrowind.

That's how I am roleplaying my second Khajiit character. He is an archer/hunter who lives in the wild, only trades with the caravans and the traders in cities without walls like Winterhold and Falkreath. He doesn't particularly care for big cities anyway, preferring camping out of doors, and he tries not to take anything the Nords or Imperials do too personally. He has no plans of joining the thieves guild or stealing things.

Ka'zhuum thinks Arcadia is completely blind! This one's name is Ka'zhuum. Ka'zhuum does all things stealthy. Ka'zhuum feels locks only keep honest people honest. Ka'zhuum thinks that if folks want Ka'zhuum to stay out of thier belongings, they had better buy an unpickable lock and throw away the key. Ka'zhuum feels possession is 9/10ths of the law. Ka'zhuum only kills in defence. Ka'zhuum thinks un-naturals do not deserve life. Ka'zhuum is a cat-burglar of the highest degree. Ka'zhuum keeps his blade clean when doing a job for the Thieve's Guild. Ka'zhuum enjoys being the only Ka'jit member in the Thieve's Guild of Riften.

Interesting. J'derras hails from Hammerfell: Dragonstar to be specific. He ancestors however, were slaves of House Hlaalu in the Third Era until King Helseth renounced the slave trade. From there, J'derras' ancestors moved to Hammerfell and became spice/alchemy merchants, which is why J'derras is an Alchemist.

my Khajit is named Yufie (cats named) and hes pretty evil, but he respects other Khajits, actually in game i followed a caravan for 2 hours, as protection.

Im a Necro-Sassin

Bound weapons, raise dead, illusion, sneaking, one handed (no bound daggers)

its really really fun (especially if you main is a normal spellsword)

Hmm i like that idea... but how exactly would be the best way to go about upgrading my illusion to get the Quiet casting perk(?) and how would i go about without the perk with illusion spells and remaining stealthy?

I have a khajiit mage. I don't really role play, but I do try to make him a good guy, overall.

http://i.imgur.com/QA7DC.jpg And that's the last thing that's known of him before his save file stopped loading.

I'll have to restart J'Gato sometime later, once the patching slows down.

I'm surprised more people dislike Khajiits then Argonians. Argonians are low-life assassins. And make nice boots.

On that note, I would LOVE some argonian skin armor or cloths, why isn't this already in!? haha!
