"Typical Khajiit racism. J'derras scoffs at such people." (This is J'derras speaking, not his player.)
What else you can expect? Khajiit are barely anything more than Sabercats. Both are savage animals and good sources for fur, but we already have Sabercats in Skyrim so we don't need Khajiit on here. At this point I have to say that those traders are ok, they come here, pay good coin for loot and then they'll go back on their sand pile. But all those Khajiit bandits and random Khajiit on wilderness ambushing people are something we can use only as material for fur-crafting. And I'm really happy no-one lets any of those cats to enter in a city. If there's such a savage beast running on streets kids just aren't in safe.

My Khajiit character is named Anitch'ka, she's a blacksmith and trader. She forages for her own materials so she's a bit of an adventurer, and favors two handed weapons, favoring battle axes and greatswords; alternating between them. She sports a bow but it's primarily for hunting, but will use it for ranges attacks when she feels that it will benefit her.

Backstory:

Formerly a captive slave of a cult that worshiped the Daedric Prince, Molag Bal; occasionally was forced to go into trader camps and distract guards so that the cult could perform a raid with little resistance. Through her participation in these raids she had to learn how to fight, she grew strong and eventually fought her way out of captivity.

She escaped north into Skyrim where she began a new life, it took some time and alot of back breaking labor but she eventually separated herself from the Khajiit stereotype; although not everyone believes she's any different. She sought after the smithing trade and trained under many smiths through out Skyrim, including the legendary Eorlund of the skyforge.

Anitch'ka remains neutral on the civil war, recognizing the importance of military and economic strength and the importance of religious freedom, despite the fact she detests the Thalmor and their ways. It's rumored that Anitch'ka had a confrontation with a small group of Thalmor Justiciars, in which the Justiciars didn't survive.

My Khajiit is the orphan of a destroyed caravan. It was ravaged by some drunken nords and he swears revenge on his family. Though born and raised in a caravan in Skyrim, he still feels like an outsider from the hate and resentment the locals have towards him. His innate sneaking skills have allowed him to hone himself into the perfect assassin. Being poor most of his life and having no knowledge of magic, he trained using only his raw talents, and continues to do so. The only refuge he finds is within fellow caravans that he comes across, and takes the time to rest there if he can. Likewise, he trades with them whenever he can, sharing the fortune he is making with his brothers, remembering how harsh his childhood was. He stays out of cities in Nord territory, yet feels some kind of welcoming in Whiterun. The jarl treated him particularly nice. But any nord he comes across is as good as dead, without question.

He accepts his position as Dovahkiin in pursuit of understanding his inner potential and uses these powers in place of the magic he lacks in order to bend the world at his will. Although he likes neither side of the war, he understands that through the empire is the only way to eradicate the nords that deserve no place in Tamriel. And his reason for destroying Alduin is to preserve his homeland.

He isn't exactly "evil", but does not hesitate to take action to better his situation by any means necessary. I enjoy having a character that is good and bad, as I feel it is the only way to properly roleplay. After all, there is too much in life to only go one way or the other.

Favorite character on my 360 (wood elf is on ps3).

I see some nice Khajiits here  Feel free to post some more info about your characters, like screens or what are they up to.

I always make my 1st character as a projection of myself in every game, but all those after that are RP
That's interesting. You made me think about my character. Raksha is my first character ever that I try to RP. I wanted her to be easy for me to like her, so we share some traits (she likes to help and so do I, she thinks that being nice is actually easier and more safe than being bastard, so do I). But I try to make her interesting and fun to play, so she is dumber than me (i hope so  ), she is more brave (I am a coward and I am proud of it). She is female for lulz, and because there are more male Khajiit NPCs than female. And now she is mercenary and in world like this I'd rather be mage in college, blacksmith or some kind of engineer. And another difference is that she craves to be with others, she hates living alone and I'd rather have my flat all to myself and I don't like guests in my home. So, is she projection of myself or not?

iZsoul:
Thanks, I'll be glad to follow him

To all trolls in this thread:
Please make yourself useful and just make some new NPCs who says such things like you write here. We need badly bastards like you, but in game. Your voice would be immortalized in a mod that would be very useful to Khajiit RPers. But please try to sound advlt while you'll be recording, because big and nasty Nord talking like 11 year old boy would actually kill our immersion.

Darq-Raze is now married to Ysolda...whom as it turns out is a Sleeping tree sap dealer... Darq-Raze has never been more in love. This one is still doing muscle work for the Thieves Guild along with any odd job he can in order to fund his skooma parties. This one is also investing in businesses...which later end up just being targets of his extortion.

I've only played one Khajit, Jaz'Rhokir. He was a thief/illusionist using only unarmed combat (no dagger, swords, etc). He refused to buy houses (except for Breezehome, he bought that so Lydia would have a place to stay since he was forced into being thane since he is on the Dragonborn path, but he never decorated it). Using the Camping Lite mod, he built camping gear that he carried with him. He refuse to sleep in the Inns. If caught in town at night, he would exit the town and build a camp to sleep there OR spend time in town picking all of the guards pockets. Using a backpack mod (can't remember the name offhand, sorry), he increased his carrying capacity so that he could carry more stuff rather than store it. Eventually he found the Alchemist Shack near Ivarstead and made this his home (used the mod Alchemist Shack). He only went into cities/towns/villages to trade - actually he only sold items. He would only buy from Khajit caravans or the Thieves guild. He did use a bow for hunting, and he did simple smithing (no perks, just basic improvements to weapons and armors). He used light armor only, but no helmets/hoods/etc (he felt they interfered with his vision). He was really opposed to the Dark Brotherhood (would have chosen to wipe them out if he got that far).

Evetually, I stopped using him for 2 reasons:

1) I really wanted to try a vampire character (Drusilla Darkbourne - dark elf).
2) The unarmed combat really started to annoy me. I created this character before studying up on the issues. I looked into the various mods, but couldn't find one I liked. Every mod seemed to either complicate the unarmed combat (let's add 14 different perks, rearrange existing skill trees/perks, etc), or the more simple mods would decide they wanted to declaw that Khajit (reduce the bonus to half). Don't mess with the claws...

I will be resurrecting him after I am through with Drusilla if I can find a decent unarmed combat mod. Note to the mod creators out there - please, please, please keep it simple and DO NOT declaw the Khajit...

There needs to be better racial context in the game, to be honest. Things like that chick in whiterun explaining to a Khajit player who they are, and things like Ulfric and the stormcloaks being perfectly fine with letting an Altmer join without batting an eye (despite the fact that they should have some very justified distrust of an altmer acter all the crap that happened prior to the game), no problems or questions asked about Khajits or Argonians wondering into town, etc...

Hell, as I've said before, Altmer and Bosmer should at least have the option of doing quests on behalf of the thalmor, if not a whole alternate villain-sided main quest! It's a shame there's not more lore-sensitive context when it comes to races. It's almost like they assume you'll play Nord or something.

I agree, if the game becomes way different because of race then we are more inclined to play longer and in different ways

I'm gonna be honest, during my first playthrough (char in sig), I felt way out of place in Skyrim. I was just playing a typical going around and kill/collect [censored] game. I felt almost no connection to Skyrim aside from the beautiful scenery that surrounded me. I literally felt compelled to play a nord becuase the way the game was set up just... asked for it. I have one now and I'll admit it just feels so right, but hand-to-hand grows dull after awhile

Aye, sadly, my Altmer Mage and my Redguard Warrior have little bonuses in the way of lore. Stormcloaks dont' comment on the Redguard as she joins them, despite the fact that they should actually sympathise with the fate of hammerfell and the crap the redguards went through, and understand WHY I'm helping them after being rejected by the empire like that. They don't, they don't even acknowledge it.

And even worse... not a single racist remark as an Altmer. Given the HUGE and JUSTIFIED mistrust of the Altmer, the ability to just be welcomed in like that is... kind of disturbing. Hell, given that I'm the primary race of the Aldmeri Dominion, the cause of the whole mess, you'd think they'd tell me to get the hell out of town! Plus, I can't join the thalmor? What's up with that? They treat me as a lesser race? I cannot team up with Ancano? I can't combat the greybeards and blades while being on the side of the Thalmor and Alduin?

In terms of gaming in general... I've always found it disappointing that I have to play the hero, and don't at least have the option of siding with the bad guys, even if it's non-canon. It's especially bad for games where you create your own character...

Hey, not everyone, I actually met NPC in Whiterun who told me that she trusts those Khajiits from caravans. Sure, she wasn't very bright NPC, as she actually explained to Raksha who Khajiits are, but still...

BTW, I actually don't feel that Raksha is hated enough for beeing Khajiit, so I have to use my imagination a lot. I'd love to get some actual troubles with Jarl or others for bringing 4 other Khajiits to Whiterun
*note: Epic spoiler*
Spoiler

She smuggle's sleeping tree sap. No wonder she like moon sugar and skooma trading caravan khajiit's!

I'm afraid that quests customized for other races would end up as a lot more work for devs, total mess in quests and extraordinary amount of bugs in them. So we, players of second-grade races, probably just have to live with it. Still, we can always customize (or destroy) some quests in CK to better suit us. My ransack through evil MQ202 to free Shavari from Thalmors can be example of this meddling

By the Twin Moons, how low can Khajiit fall? Marrying a nord? Please, tell Raksha that is only because this one is a drug addict.... Raksha could understand sabre cat, they are at least cats and fluffy, but nord?

Raksha thinks, that there is at least another one who, umm, likes Khajiits in this way. Lydia, my ex-housecarl, was always sitting in my bedroom, day and night, staring at me. This one can't think of another explanation for that kind of behavior. And Raksha finds it very disturbing...

R'esh-ha hails from Cyrodiil, and she is an accomplished alchemist. She wants to become an apprentice to the legendary Grandmaster Sinderion. R'esh was told that Sinderion was last seen north of Bruma, heading to Skyrim. And so she secured a few bottles of rare vintages of Skindgrad's vinyards (not an easy task, what with the recent Great War) for Grand Master, and embarked on a journey to Riften. R'esh must have strayed off the road too far admiring the local flora when suddenly she got caught up in the middle of some kind of skirmish. The rest seemed like a horrible nightmare, and it only got worse as she watched the first chopped off head tumbling on the ground.

After escape from Helgen (during which she didn't even touch any of encountered foes, allowing the chatty Stormcloaks man to clear the way), R'esh dropped off the Helgen tunnels' loot at Riverwood's trader, changed into clean clothes, took a little rest and then hit the road to Riften once again. Only now she was so frightened, she was crouching, almost crawling, but not even that helped her as she was attacked by wolves all the time. Dogs, hordes of rabid dogs from Necrom to Daggerfall all must have been been preying on her. Good thing, R'esh could finish them off with just one scratch of her claw, but still she left a trail of dead dogs behind her almost like what she recalled reading in an old Black Horse Courier article about a rain of burning dogs in a remote Khajiit village. Exhausted and scared, R'esh found a deserted alchemist's shack - very likely Sinderion's place, she thought excited, suddenly envigoured again to carry on.

Fighting off all the stupid rabid dogs on the road, R'esh finally saw Riften's city walls from afar, and a farm nearby. She headed to the farm, to ask for city directions and perhaps about Sinderion's whearabouts, as well as to find out more about that fatal skirmish she got mixed into, dragon attack in Helgen and to see whether she's still wanted by authorities or something. She needed to know where she stands. And THAT she found out very soon. As R'esh headed towards a man in uniform, before she even managed to politely greet him, the guard yelled at her: "HANDS TO YOURSELF, SNEAK THIEF!!!"

Startled and shocked, R'esh-ha the accomplished alchemist jumped back. Sneak WHAT?! Sneak THIEF?! Then she realized: Helgen wasn't just a misunderstanding, the entire province of Skyrim and its people is but a huge Helgen. And her thoughts began to race in rage. R'esh-ha sure is not a thief, but she could become one, she's talented and persevere and already skilled in alchemy - she could become not just one thief, she could become the grandest, the most notorious thief this gods-forsaken-for-their-own-doing land has ever seen and, most importantly, deserve, and then she'll come back to this very rude guard, and strip him down to his presumably very ugly underwear in less than an eyeblink, yes, she will. And then she was at Riften's gate, only to be yelled at by another guard and in a very rude way sent to the other gate, and in order to reach the other gate, she'd have to embark on another frightening journey arount the lake. Or jump in very cold water. R'esh took a deep breath and jumped in the freezing water, thinking about an Argonian in Leyawiin who was rumoured to be a genious prankster. Yes, Future R'esh-ha The Most Notorious Thief will prank these rude savage so called city guards just Otumeel-style: she'd strip them off their equipments and possessions and put all their items in barrels right there at their barraks.

Still savouring the image of stupid, embarrased city guards, running around naked looking for their stuff, R'esh strode into Riften's marketplace, and there she was immediatelly approached by a suspicious man, as though he was reading her thoughts. Suprise, surprise - he, too saw a thief in R'esh, only this time it was sort of a good thing. A little cooled off and back to her senses, R'esh didn't accept the man's shady offer, but promissed to consider it. And proceeded to the local alchemist to inquire about Sinderion. There she was told that an elderly Altmer runs an alchemy shop in Windhelm, so she hired a carriage and set out to Windhelm. The Altmer alchemist turned out to be some very grumpy man named Nurelion, so R'esh-ha's next hired carriage took her to Whiterun where an Imperial alchemist from Cyrodiil resides - she of all people must know something about Great Sinderion's whereabouts... but not before she tried her hand at her new-found trade, and R'esh discovered how good at it she was, and what a strange satisfaction it gave her.

Name: Gutslit
Age: 20
Birth sign: The Thief
Specializations: Archery/ranged weapons, sneaking, honeyed words(speechcraft), mercantile
Background: Street Urchin Khajiit who was in a Talos worshipping family in Elsweyr. Since this wasn't legal by Thalmor rules, the family was killed, but Gutslit somehow only came out with a few broken ribs and some dagger wounds now decorating his legs. He was able to seek out a healer, but he had only a tiny amount of gold on hand, and he could only afford the cheapest healing services. He was cast out of his family since he might end up worshipping Talos and getting the rest of his relatives killed. He felt so much hate towards them for this that he took on a new name and tried his best to get by for most of his years until he turned 20 and was sent to Skyrim for stealing from the Thalmor.
Family: They were a highly divided bunch. His parents were Talos worshippers and the rest of the family rejected them for this.

Current occupation: Maybe hunter. Probably just traveler.
Guilds associated with: None.
Current ''home'': None aside from maybe some shack he might end up finding.

Likes: Moon sugar, meat, hunting, reading, the peaceful night sky of Skyrim
Dislikes: His own cooking, mead

Personality: Due to his childhood that was mostly lived on the street and knowing he was forever exiled from his family, he grew to be extremely solitary and spiteful. He has taught himself how to hide his spiteful feelings through emulating how the drunks in bars he'd see acted when they were depressed. He's highly afraid of friendships ever since his friend was killed when he was only 14 years of age. Due to his shame towards his family, he tries to keep his face in the safe shadows of his hood so he won't be reminded that he was once not a now grown advlt who has spent years just learning how to hide from just about everything but a child who actually felt safe. He rarely speaks and prefers to make his barters a quiet affair. He has anger management issues and seems to have developed a possible psychological dependence on the smell of lavender due to it being extremely soothing. He is considered quite a hard person to be around.

Weapon of choice: Usually uses a bow and arrow as well as a dagger.

Allergies: He has problems ingesting most types of mead due to not really being able to eat honey in any form without getting sick.
Eating and drinking habits: His diet consists of meat products and water normally. He will drink some booze sometimes, though.
Religious: He tries to avoid religion.
Most-liked race: The Khajiit. He feels close to the sands and finds security in that feeling when he talks with any.
Less-liked race: Despite his hate towards the Thalmor and altmer, he actually finds them more tolerable than the Bretons. He finds them to be much more stuck up about their own existence.

Scars: About five dagger wounds that were only healed enough to prevent infection, which were the wounds he got when the Thalmor killed his parents. They look more like giant arrow induced gashes in scar form now. He had a fist fight over some food in his youth, which resulted in three scars on his forehead. Has three horizontal scars across his back from a secret skooma party him and some friends had. Needless to say, the skooma party ended in everyone involved attempting to groom eachother much like primate would. This hour of thinking they were primates ended in pretty much everyone with at least one deep wound that would become a scar just because of how hopped up on skooma they were.

Current romance: None.
(Best) Friends: His bow, I suppose. He hasn't made any friends outside of the backstory yet.
Hobby's: Reading, hunting, and maybe some alchemy.

Copy pasta'd this from the thread I made the bio for this character on since that's my main Skyrim character. He's more of an archer that dabbles in thievery.

May as well add some new information on this sour cat of mine. He is currently questioning if his idea of all religion being the cause of suffering and pain was wrong ever since he helped a priest of Arkay and saw so many of his kind dead. Not bandits, either. He saw innocent khajiit littering the ground, found himself in battle with the mages he hates the most(He believes most magic is selfish, so he only uses restoration and alchemy), necromancers, and encountered fresh burning bodies.

He's basically been living ready to just give up and do what everyone does, let the brewed water be the comfort, but he finds the taste so awful he just sticks to foods from his homeland and skooma. Seems he's only finding the priest he helped and a lone archer out in the mountains to be the only ones he could call close enough that he'd be less likely to take his problems out on them. The archer even lets him practice on her targets. The priest just feels like an elven father to him.

He's also joined The Companions, but he probably will say bye to them.

Gutslit was born with a much more noble name. It was M'Kagro, but his exile and the fact that being a child meant nothing when there wasn't anyone to care for you would eventually lead him to be known as Gutslit. He was known among his friends during their skooma binges as the one who could hold his sugar, but certainly couldn't hold his temper. He nearly slit someone's gut out of an almost lethal fit of rage mixed with the sugar. Only reason he wasn't thrown into a prison was because his friends always made sure they were as far from town as possible to keep Gutslit safe from the authorities during their skooma fun. He became known as Gutslit solely because he was so close to cutting someone open, that it became an in joke. Bad joke, but it was rare to see such a somber youth use a borrowed claw weapon just because the drunk called him a fuzzy kitten.

He pretty much is mildly addicted to skooma. He doesn't sell any, just buys it for himself.

Gutslit would sure love to meet ya. Only, he'd prefer to make you dance like the nord ya are. Want some mead? The honey brewed water? You can have it. /end allowing Gutslit to communicate over the internet.

If that was because you were ashamed of being felines and preferred being monkeys then Raksha thinks that serves you right! Oh, don't get this one wrong, Raksha is not against using hands to caress each other, but if you truly embraced your felines you would instinctively be careful with your claws.

He saw innocent khajiit littering the ground, found himself in battle with the mages he hates the most(He believes most magic is selfish, so he only uses restoration and alchemy), necromancers, and encountered fresh burning bodies.
Is this some kind of quest? If yes, then which one is it? As of now my Raksha is a very happy cat and could use some traumatic moments for a change

i sure do love the way Khajiit talk. i have repeated topics with the caravans just to listen  hope there are some important Khajiit in the DLC
Yeah, I like it too  And when they complement you (males with 'warmness from you presence' and females with 'all sugar in the world turning sour') that still makes me go 'Aww' every time I hear it. And I hear it a lot since Raksha has company

I cannot help but change the way i talk when i am playing Darq-Raze...it is involuntary but so satisfying to refer to one's self as "This One"

That's an interesting idea to make some new NPCs. Anyway I don't think there are 11 year old kids on here - the game is rated 18 and I can't think any parent who would let their kids to play the game. At least I won't allow my kids to have even a view on Skyrim, although they all are younger than 11.
I may try to make mod for you but the voice acting isn't the easiest one for me. Speaking English isn't a problem for me but pronouncing it right is.
