300 hours of content? Yeah right...

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 2:32 am

No way would I be able to do all this in 300 hours.

I'm 105 hours in so far.

The highest I've been in the main quest was when you have to find Esbern.

Haven't even came close to finishing the Civil War, or the Thieves Guild.

I still haven't told the Arch-Mage about that glowing ball.

Never even started the Dark Brotherhood.

Never got a skill to 100 besides smithing.

Never used any mage skills, except destruction, and that was only the flame spell.

I haven't even been to the soutwest part of the map.

Never been to Markarth or Solitude.

I did complete the companions quest line though :P

tl;dr - I feel like I'm just starting the game after 105 hours. How much have you got done in your play time?

I'm with you. I didn't get to Markarth, Winterhold, or Morthal until 120 hours in.

Heck, I didn't even know about a feature called "Sprint" until 180 hours in...and that's the truth!

Also, never touched magic or two-handed weapons until 220 hours, which brings us up to the present.

On my Nord I'm about 40-50 hours in. And so far, all I've done is the main quest. And that was a good solid ride via horse to each location. I did a few things around Whiterun, but that was it. So far, I'm just heading past Rorikstead and heading on into the Reach to see what's going on over there.
Made my new Khajiit Ra'vhash two days ago. So far he has about 12-14 hours I think, and he's only just seen a portion of Markarth. He's still got to see the Graybeards, but that's something I really don't want to do again for a while. The walk up the mountain is just too boring the twentieth time!

To be honest, I got the game 2 weeks after release, and I finally visited Falkreath. A great town, but I am a bit disappointed in the graveyard not being as big as they advertised it.

I have a hard time keeping a character for more than 250 hrs. Each one of those has completed about 30% of the game content. That leaves a lot of game left. The problem is, i am either playing a DID character, I just grow tired of the current character or I have a new RPing idea spark a new character. After which I get into and delete the previous one.

Still, after 6 characters and a total of 1000+ hrs, I think I have gotten way more than my $60 worth.

The game got bland when I tried to play it with the dedication I played Morrowind, but when I played it in the mindset of DA:Origins or KotoR it wasn't too bad.

I'm about 200 hours into the game probably, and I have just done the first quests of the College and Stormcloaks. I've just started looking for the Elder Scroll in the Main Quest.

fast traveling really shortens the game, but i cant get over having to horseback 20 minutes because of random minor misc quest requiring me to go to xyz to deliver abc,

Im probably at around 300 so far,

Ive completed the MQ once

The civil war twice (once for each side)

Havent joing Dark Brotherhood

Havent joined Thieves guild

Finished the companions quest

Explored maybe 1/3 of all the marked locations

Died about 200,000 times now

Killed at least 100 dragons

thats all I want to really list lol, this game still surprises me though, and I LOVE IT.

I'm up to 240 hours in the game, yet there's still content left I haven't seen. I heard about a headless horseman before the game came out, but have only seen him riding by in The Reach once. Didn't manage to catch him. Not sure what his deal is. Despite all I've seen and all I've explored, I just know there's more to see. I started flipping out when I found Blackreach .. excited though I may be for DLC, the base game still has much to offer me.

290 Hours

I've done:

MQ: Reached Sky Haven Temple

Civil War: Completed, Stormcloaks defeated

College of Winterhold: Completed

Dark Brotherhood:
Spoiler
I raided their HQ and destroyed them for the Empire

Thieves Guild:
Spoiler
I used console commands to remove their essential tags. Then I did this: :flamethrower: <- Can you please pretend that is a flame spell instead of a flamethrower?

Companions: I've never even entered Jorrvaskr.

Daedra Quests: Finished - Azura, Clavicus Vile, Hircine, Malacath, Mehrunes Dagon, Meridia, Sheogorath, Vaermina. Started - Peryite. Refuse to finish or have failed - Molag Bal, Namira.

Skills: Only one at 100 is Enchanting.

Highest Level for any character: 27

Exploration: Been to all cities, but only briefly visited Markath and Falkreath.

293 hours according to Steam (of course some of that was paused or in an inventory screen when I had to stop to help my kids with something). Finished the main quest 2 days ago and am trying to finish up a few side quests with my current character but I'm having trouble finding the inspiration to play her a whole lot more with the main quest done (she's level 53 and a lot of the challenge is gone). I'll probably play a little more with her until the next patch comes out - I don't want to start a new character until then. But, I'm probably going to finish my DA2 playthrough with the DLC I hadn't played before instead of putting much more time into my current Skyrim PC. There's still alot of the game I haven't seen (finished the mages guild quest line and 2 of the Daedric quests and a number of side quests but only barely started Companions quests and the bard's college and haven't touched the Thieves Guild or the Dark brotherhood). OH, and I finished the Civil War (stormcloaks).

I'm going to need multiple PC's to roleplay my way through all that Skyrim has to offer, trying to do it all with one PC seems like too much.

I'm 37 hours in on my Bosmer Vampire and i've only ever done one quest which was destroying the dark brotherhood and i'm not done yet. I'm currently level 14 and have discovered 70+ locations, never ever fast travelled, i make sure i sleep during the days and feed/hunt at nights. It has been a great experience and i actually plan to play the game at around level 40 so i think ill get my 300 hours out :)

Are you on console? If you are about to say yes, say no more, You have already screwed Skyrim up for you, But, I have like 6 or 7 saves, im at 144MB total for the entire Save files folder, and 0 problems.

I started having this problem on PC and I went and deleted all my old characters and saves except for 10 select ones - haven't had a crash since.

I'm with you. I don't understand what everybody else keeps talking about. I've never been able to sink 200+ hours into an Elder Scrolls game. I've been everywhere and done everything with two characters now, and those two characters combined are at around 180 hours. Combined. There's no way I would be able to get 300 hours with one character.
