I've seen tempered Daedric swords with 600ish damage, not even including the enchants. :\

i just did a few more for my follower Darkeethus.

The Quake. an Axe that has tasted the blood of so many that any who see it run and hide in fear. [up to level 23 :P]

and his shield.

Knox. a Shield used in the great war. it has been destroyed and rebuilt so many times that it has gotten stonger and can block more powerful attacks. [30% more damage for blocking]

Two daedric swords (legendary) that I crafted. 518 base damage (due to fortify one handed armour enchantments) each with +36 frost and +36 fire damage enchants. Called them penumbra and antumbra. Also have a daedric bow called umbra with ~540 damage, with two enchantments. You can guess my play style from my weapons names ha.

But I restarted because the game was to easy on master difficulty with these weapons

I assume your another person, like me, that was heartbroken when umbra wasn't in the game

Nothing special, but my level 41 Nord just crafted his "end game" weapons. He has a legendary daedric bow and battleaxe with 10pt frost damage on each. Names are shimmerdeath and shimmergloom, respectively. Kudos to those who get the Shimmergloom reference.

another one.

Honor. A weapon that materialises in someones time of crysis. it can be a blade, axe, mace. anything. it is a weapon that can have any affect that would help it's weilder in his time of need. the only catch is that while weilding this weapon. it's weilder is entered in a contract with the weapon. if it breaks the contract with the weapon, the weapon will leave the weilder's service and part of there soul will be taken. while being carried no other weapon may be used. for this breaks the contract and extracts a piece of the weilder's soul. there fighting spirit, there ability to love/hate anything. any part of who they are can be taken. after it's weilder's vengeance is done. Honor chooses a new weilder in a time of need.

i'm planning on making a Paladin that lost his family when Dragur and Skeletons attacked his house and killed his family. Honor formed in his hands. it repels undead and has a powerful fire enchantment. and that is just for him. it can be anything for anybody.

I actually had no idea that their was a previous weapon called umbra (just looked it up ha), I just like the names of the 3 parts of a shadow

Blisterwort, Glowing Mushroom, Sabre Cat Tooth, Spriggan Sap are the 4 ingredients.

But, the 130% Smithing Potion requires 100 in Alchemy.
You also need to have enchanted gear, 4 of them at +29%, and the right alchemy perks.

I also prefer not to use crafted weapons. Theres already such nice choices available:

daggers: Blade of Woe/Mehrunes Razor
swords: Chillrend/Dawnbreaker
bow: Nightingale Bow
mace: Mace of Molag Bal
2-h: hmm Wuuthraad?

I'm just going to avoid smithing potions and enchanting perks entire. Crafting in this game is easier to break than an eggshell in a rock tumbler.
Can't wait for mods to add new hand placed unique items and weapons
This. This is like the one type of mod I want the most. I love never knowing what artifacts I may find.

I opened this thread expecting someone doing heavy exploitation of potions/enchantments to min/max his weapon. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice lore too.

Skyforged weapons truly are the epitome of killing potential.

That's really creepy. Not your weapon, but the fact I did something very similar and named my sword Stormbreaker.

My blade is called Azura's Paladin and was designed to work together with the star.
It absorbs health and traps souls.
The idea is that Azura gains power every time the star holds and is cleansed of a soul, like water on a prayer wheel.

(Or at least, it wouldve worked like that, had I not encountered a bug where my enchanted weapons do not use charges at all, ever :( )

Okay. i'm gonna Rp a bit here because i got my enchanting to 100.

okay so it was a normal day for Cesaret StormBlade just hunting outside Whiterun, going to Riverwood to see his friend Faendal. when all of a sudden Necromancers started to surround Riverwood he Faendal and Darkeethus charged them without a thought. then one of them started to speak an ancient evil langauge and place objects on an altar. then the sky turned red. Cesaret knew what awaited him. it was something he hadent seen in 200 years and hopes to never see again. an Oblivion gate.

the citizens we're rushed out of the city while the three warriors and the remaining guards stood there ground and fought.

the three warriors charged in after some covincing by Cesaret. he swore there would be no deaths this day.

they all fought in unison Cesaret with Sky Shatter and his Ebony blade of fire given to him by Ulfric Storm Cloak, Darkeethus with The Quake and Knox. Faendal with his Blade of The North and long bow.

they fought all the way to the tower that held the sigil stone. they opened the doors. Darkeethus and Faendal held off the Daedra while Cesaret went for the stone. Darkeethus was almost killed. if it wasent for a timely arrow from Faendal he would be. shooting the very blade from the Daedra's hands. they ran up the stairs to what Cesaret faced.

It was the leader of the Necromancer's that brought them to Riverwood. it was a great evil that Cesaret thought was destroyed 200 years ago. it was Mannimacro. the true Mannimacro in his godly form. it was settled the three warriors had to defeat a god

they charged in hacking and slashing while Mannimacro shrugged it off. no matter what they did they we're useless against his power. every slash did nothing but make him angry. he used the staff of worms to resurect the dead Daedra surrounding him. it was clear they we're doomed. even with the power of the Thu,um and every warrior's experience. Cesaret used the Storm call shout. in Oblivion instead of lightning. fire rains from the skys. the tower was destroyed the Daedra all turned to ash around them.

it was the three warrior's and Mannimacro. the fight went on. the fear from The Quake did nothing. the fire made him laugh, the frost didn't even make him flinch. the lightning from the Divines could not strike him down.

Cesaret remembered the magical powers he learned 200 years ago in the Mages Guild. before he died. Traven taught him a thing or two about enchantments and taught him a powerful spell. Cesaret had learned that the power from enchanted weapons could be extracted and used in a combustable force.

Cesaret told Faendal and Darkeethus to raise there weapons. he spoke in an ancient tongue. then when the time was right they all pointed there weapons at Mannimacro. and the power from the weapons was unleashed! a stream of the elements and a burst of fear attacked Mannimacro. he fell to his knees. the warrior's rushed in and stabbed there weapons into the shell of the former god! when they we're removed the shell fell over. he was gone for now. they took the stone. and the ancient book that housed the evil knowledge of how to open the gates. and destroyed them.

when the gate closed with everyone alive. they noticed there weapons we're all normal and destroyed. Sky Shatter no longer held the lightning of the Divines. The Ebony Blade of fire didn't even hold a flicker of it's flame. The Blade of the North no longer gave a chill to it's weilder. The Quake instead of giving fear just looked like a normal axe.

with that Cesaret, Darkeethus, Faendal and the guards got everyone home safely and cleaned up the mess. they parted ways.

Cesaret and Darkeethus went back to Vlindrel hall in Markarth. to see if there weapons could be fixed. The Quake was repaired and it's power slowly started to grow back. The Blade of the North once again even gave chills to it's weilder.

Sky Shatter and the Ebony Blade of fire we're different stories. not enough of the weapons we're left to be repaired.

an idea came to Cesaret. what if i combine them together? it was tricky but he forged the two weapons together. from this day forth the weapon known as Sky Shatter was no more. and The Ebony blade of fire was no more. but they formed as one to become Skyfire.

[with a 58 shock damage enchantment and a 58 fire damage enchantment]

Well, I'm lvl 27. I made two glass swords: Churchill and Nancy Grace. Churchill has 44 base damage and 17 additional fire damage. Nancy Grace has 44 base damage and 10 points additional frost damage (she's older).

Churchill was created in a regular forge. There is a dwarven saying that one time in your life you will create the greatest work you are capable of creating. The struggle is to find meaning in your life thereafter, so as to not succumb to despair from knowing that nothing you forge henceforth will be as magnificent as that one great work. This is not that work. This is the work created directly after that once-in-a-lifetime-weapon. Ketchagon bought this, as it was the best option available when bartering with the nameless dwarf who had, only days before, sold his magnificent work to a nameless person. Ketchagon's quest to find the dwarf's magnificent weapon began immediately thereafter. He hopes that Churchill is satisfactory enough to enable him to slay any foes he encounters along his travels.

Nancy Grace was found encased in a glacier up near Winterhold. It was said that Ketchagon, the spellsword, found it, when he was wandering the northeast looking for Ice Wraith Teeth to craft invisibility spells the manly way, so as to further prepare to defeat the one who had bought the nameless dwarf's uncomparable weapon. One day, after breaking camp, Ketchagon heard a mournful dialogue whispering on the gale-force winds. He followed it, the voice growing louder the closer he got to the source, until he came upon an ethereal woman barking outlandish inane curses at the world. Ketchagon immediately slew the beast with his trusty Churchill, and marveled as the fire from Churchill had inadvertently melted the ice down, revealing a small cavity directly beneath where the ethereal woman-creature was moaning. There lied Nancy Grace.

I made a Bow of Souls that I use to kill things to fill up my soul gems to charge my swords.

These two swords will appease Ketchagon until the day he finds his strongest weapon yet.
