When i first received Skyrim I was blown away. At least until the next day when my 4 year old fat PS3 (80 GB upgraded to 500 GB HDD) YLOD. It was on its last legs and was practically screaming in pain before I got the game, so I didn't blame the game. Got a new Slim 320 GB and started Skyrim anew
I've been playing for about 55 hours (11 mb save) with the 1.2 patch. Prior to the patch it was borderline unplayable After the 1.2 patch I was able to play for 2 or 3 hours before the lag would begin to kick in again. . Now it began freezing on the loading screen. I finally threw in the towel, went back to dark souls until they (Hopefully!) can straighten these technical problems out..
It's unfortunate because the GAME itself is incredible, when you can play it! I"m angry at myself because I should've known better after their PS3 track record. They need to build or license another game engine. I was angry when I found out their "new" engine is really just a (slightly) upgraded version of the buggy POS they've already been using for years. Creation engine? Yeah, creates problems..
I can say I will not buy another bethesda game unless it's a used copy in the bargain bin. This is coming from someone who has been a loyal customer since Morrowind. I feel like they should have treated their fans and customers with respect, instead of trying to hit a trendy release date!
