Three characters, main is lvl 41 with roughly 100 hours of play. Others are lvl 20 or below, about 20 hours of play.

Performance issues and crashes occur with main, sometimes with more ferocity than others.

Most common for me are the quest bugs. I just updated my "Skyrim isn't Game Of The Year Worthy" post by replacing my map issue (which was really just usability fail) with a bunch of vids on YouTubes of others running into quest breakers. Invincible spiderwebs, UI freezing the game, all sorts of fun: http://cathodetan.blogspot.com/2011/12/why-skyrim-is-not-game-of-year-worthy.html

I enjoyed the game, certainly got my money's worth - but at the end of the day it's more than slightly disappointing that Bethesda can't deliver technically solid games. Next time I'll certainly be waiting at least until the game has been out for 4-6 months, and probably buy it used.

Well, I installed the eagerly awaited 1.03 update and viola! My PS3 version is mostly fixed or I should say, most of the issues I was experiencing with laggyness and crashing/freezing seem to be gone. THANK YOU!
It runs quite smoothly and the graphics seem to be much harder to overload for me now. I still have a 12MB file too.

I was even able to get the "Season Unending" quest going but had to join the damn Imperials. For 500 hours of gameplay I have been debating which side to go with but you Bethesda, pushed me into the decision that I guess I had to make anyway. I'll never know if it was the right one :-D

ONE PROBLEM REMAINS: I cannot get the quest: "The Man Who Cried Wolf" from Falk Firebeard. Varnius Junius just stands over by the guard and assures me that I "would do well to follow the law when I am in Dragon Bridge" or something guard-like such as that.

I would really like to be able to buy Proudspire Manor but of course since I can't get the quests to be a Thane in Solitude... I read elsewhere that this is a bug relating to starting the Bard's quests prior to visiting the Blue Palace. I didn't start the Bard's series BUT I did find Finn's Lute while dungeon diving and later joined them to see if this was the reason that I wasn't getting the Blue Palace dialog.

Please fix this! Thanks for what you have done so far - it must be hell over there and I hope you get a break soon!

10MB save
Freezing/crashing every 10-20minutes of starting game. No lag since 1.2 but crashing and freezing direct result of 1.2

I have one save game. Every time I load that save game, it crashes 1 second after I load.

I try going into the menu, doesn't do anything and still crashes. I try to go through the door next to me, the loading screen starts but then freezes. This is at the Battle of Windhelm right outside of Ulfric's Palace. It is very frustrating and I can't even play the game. I have spent 80 hours and 60 dollars on this game. I'm not about to start over. I am very frustrated (I can't even fast travel out of the place because it is part of a quest and I can't leave Windhelm).

Don't tell me I should have saved because I shouldn't need to save. The game should just work, plain and simple.

Level 45, 90+ hours, 9338kb save. Just patched to 1.03 tonight and within the first hour I had dragons that flew through the ground then disappeared off the screen like that silver ship on "flight of the navigator" and one that didn't give me a soul. Then 10 minutes later the game completely froze and a required a hard reset after 10 minutes of waiting for it to load. All auto saves are disabled and I was not traveling when it locked. I had entered labyrinthia and was exploring the first room. I've been dealing with broken bookcases, constant freezes, broken minor and major quests, framerate issues, audio dropping out/ crackling, Etc. I paid too much money to put up with this crap.

The only thing I have left to try is to restart my character from scratch. Frankly, if I have to restart my character, then I am just going to get rid of skyrim, trade it in, and purchase something else that isn't a headache to deal with and doesn't slowly destroy my console. I've invested too much time into something that is so painful to deal with to have to start over and play the same crap over again. I would rather slide down a 50 foot razor blade into a vat of alcohol than play this game any longer in the state that it is in. I've never problems to this magnitude with any game on any console, other than skyrim. The PC is a different story, but consoles are designed so that the end user doesn't have to put up with this BS, and the developer doesn't have to worry about piracy, the former seems to quite a problem for most people that visit this area of the forums. This game is simply the biggest piece of crap I have ever played. At this moment, I cannot fathom ever purchasing another Bethesda/Zenimax game again, unless there are some serious changes to development and QA practices.

There's a few glitches that bother me, but it's the quest specific ones that really get to me.

Urag gro-shub, the Orc librarian in the Winterhold College's library, has glitched miscellaneous quests. Specifically, the quest won't proceed if you already have the book prior to him giving the quest. I already explored Bilegulch mine and obtained the book Souls, Black and White before I even met the Orc. Game won't let me hand the book to him.

Bookshelves still broken. Specifically in Breezehome. Before 1.3, the top row of the bookshelf immediately at the entrance refused to open the bookshelf menu. Now the bookshelf in the alchemy lab is broken. The neat-freak in me is freaking out. I feel the need to organize some spare spellbooks.

Dragon corpses are also disappearing a little to early for my tastes. Killed a dragon right outside Fellglow Keep, but I was carrying to many things. I thought that I'd come back to it after I unload in my house (which was only at Breezehome). Fast-traveled back, dragon's gone, along with the bones and scales I wanted to get.

While I'm here, I might as well say: I wish quest related items can be stored. I don't see why I should carry Kahvozein's Fang if my Alteration skill is nowhere near 90.

I bought this game the first day it came out. First few hours looked good. Very well detailed worlds. Ocassional slow downs but no major problems. I only put like 20 hours though. Now, when time came to install 1.3, the game turned into a jaggy mess. It also loads slower.

Level 49, 106 hours of game time. Started noticing bad lag issues cropping up around 80 hours. Would stop playing for a day or so, then pick it back up. Lag would vary wildly, but in Whiterun, Windhelm and Markarth, the lag is constant, persistent. At 100 hours, would run into severe frame rate drops, to the point of where it was 1-2 FPS at the most.
Post patches - 1.2 - Had 0% resistance, despite having 110% resistance. Dragons, mages, everything destroyed me using magic.
Patch 1.3 - lag issues have gotten more severe, in shorter periods of time. Wandering outside, maybe an hour of playtime, FPS drops to nearly 0. Noticed a lot of rendering issues on ground textures, hills, and nearby objects that seem to pop in. Dungeons seem to function just fine, outdoors and in cities issues continue to arise from FPS, textures. Never noticed this behavior when character was first made, had extreme lines of sight when save file was small. Larger it gets, the worse the pop ups seem to be.

Currently sitting at a 13 mb save file.

Now about 140 hours played, level 47, 12 mb. A while ago i was finishing the main quest but the big boss dit not appear. Got back to an old save game, played on with side quests etc. Lags, glitches, bugs etc...yes. Still not able to use my book shelves. But allright, some minor problems I can handle that.

But now...suddenly i cannot absorb dragon souls anymore. Not able to get words from walls, not able to catch any soul from any creature. Cleared a cave for the companions, but animal was already dead en quest wo'nt end. New assignments do not appear in the quest line. If I tell Lydia to part ways, she stays with me. If I ask a companion to follow me, he/she does not say that i already have a follower. But does not follow me either. Cannot ask companions to learn skills. Cannot use mines to get some ore of any kind. Cannot use a stone.

Oldest save is four levels back, but I leveled very fast the last playing hours, most thanks to some companions and a lot of smithing and enchanting. A lot of work though and i do'nt want to go back again to an old save.

So, now I am done with the greatest game ever. I can't stand this crap anymore.

All autosaves disabled. 10 Gb of free space left. Game file size is 8 mb.

hmmmm. i only seem to have problems after several hours of play...quit game then restart seems to fix (originally had hard freeze and hell lag on 1.3 install though fine now)

I'm > 120 hours in, with 13mb file and completed > 350 quests and around 300 locations discovered.

my save file keeps growing despite how i play, i used to [censored] items into chests, got to the point it took upto 5 secs to retrieve item after selecting, started selling all my stuff, unfortunately NPC only have so much gold.

also i hammer locations so lots of dead bodies and stuff everywhere.

I have a slim ps3 a yr old.

I can not obtain the word of power from Kilreath Ruins. I walk up to it, but the screen doesn't fade and there are no barbarian chants. No matter if enemies are around or not, if I leave and return, quit/reload... anything

Looks like I'll never get that Shout?

File size doesn't matter for me. Either way Im not getting dragon souls or able to read the dragon words at the shrines." Activate" won't work but open will. "take" sometimes works. After a hour or so gets all lag.

Level 54 Redguard, 240+ hours. PS3 160GB. Finished the Dragonblood quest. Version 1.3.

Trying to complete the Stormcloak quest. Got the orders to go Fort Snowhawk and meet up with Stormcloaks to attack and sieze the Fort. The first time before I met the Stormcloaks, the fort attacked and I counterattacked. I was down to 5% remaining and then I killed 3 more Imperials. Yet, the 5% remaining was unaltered. No Imperials left and I can't complete the quest. I also couldn't find the Stormcloaks I was supposed to meet.

I went back to a previous save and tried again. I got the 'completed' when I got to the area where the Stormcloaks were but I didn't see any. Barricades up in the fort, 100% remaining, but deserted. Walked around a bit and then the barricades were gone. Can't complete the quest. 100% remaining Imperials.

Breezehome bookcases don't activate after a couple of uses. I put the books in the cupboard.

Gave Esbern the dragon bone and scale, got the potion, but the quest stays in the active list, and is inactive.

The items retrieved in the Bard quest stay in my inventory after they are supposedly removed when the quests are completed.

I killed the jailed Hargrave and got the staff, then I killed the hargrave Petra. Quest doesn't complete with my alternative solution.

I have noticed bad framerate right at the beginning of the game. The beginning of the game before the exploration starts suffered awful framerate, and some areas and caves are just awful and unbearable.

Here are a few of my recent bugs with this broke excuse of a game of the year.

Finished the Companion quest line- Skor came back from the dead. When I was looking for a job from Aela.

Married Aela only to find out she wouldn't give me the home cooked meal option.

Bard quest- Broke and items still stuck in inventory.

Rederan- bugged at the gate in Whiterun.

This is just on my fifth new game restart. This game is quite frankly, turning out to be the worse game I have every played.
