All I want to do is play the game that I spent 159 bucks on. My save file is 12mb and I can only play in isolated places like dungeons, if I go outside the game lags until it freezes. Please help Bethesda.

Please fix the trophy glitch within the PAL version of the game.

The bounty-stats for each realm are absent from the menu, just the overall bounty-stat is displayed.

Currently 40 hours in, file size 8MB, quest locked (Season Unending/Jagged Crown) and starting to lag. Not looking forward to it lagging even worse

Joined the forums just to add my experiences.

File size 15mb
level 50
Play time: 197.01.24

-Debilitating lag when fighting dragons. Despite spamming my menu button to drink a potion, I literally fry in one fire breath from Ancient dragons.

-Followers cause more lag. After becoming a more 'thief' type of character I have noticed I can explore and fight bandits in the field better.

-Lost approximately 7 Dragon souls cause they glitch out and simply lay there. To be fair, I have an overabundance of DS's because every time I fast travel there seems to be a dragon waiting for me.

-Frost the horse is apparently wandering the Skyrim world and I cannot do anything further on that quest line. I hope to one day find him (hopefully alive).

-I have around 33 pounds of dead weight in the form of Giants Toe and about 20 Alto Wines that I cannot place in a container/eat or drink or use for Alchemy. The game keeps telling me I cannot do those things with quest items. This may indeed be part of the game but I have no quests involving those items.

-Weapon racks/wall plaques do not function for me in either my Whiterun or Riften house.

-Bookshelves only display on the top shelf and eat any book I place on the second shelf.

-Mannequins in the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary in Dawnstar and in the Riften home turn invisible when I place armor on them.

-Cannot purchase house in Windhelm (the serial killer quest won't activate)

-During main quest my game locks up completely when trying to enter Skuldafn Temple.

-Small graphical glitches involving Falmer mask (renders my characters head invisible), the Dark Brotherhood masked cowl is sadly maskless.

-The lighting is sporadic. Sometimes when turning my character or exiting underwater the screen turns black and then slowly fades in. I've considered this may be intentional but it's kinda wonky and doesn't feel consistent.

This list is in no particular order. A lot of this stuff is minor and has no negative impact on my opinion of the game. However, when I fast travel to a Giants camp to do a bounty quest and an Ancient Dragon is playing sky tag with a Frost dragon and everyone decides I'd make a nice handy snack, the lag is insane. I can appreciate what the game was intended to be. I can feel immersed in the RPG aspect for quite a lot but the negatives keep adding up. I have felt some frustration and disappointment from not being able to make Windhelm my base of operations and sunk even lower when my game locks up during a major questline. A game like Skyrim promises such epic greatness but has only delivered a very small serving. I can wait for patches to fix broken weapon racks and graphical oddities, but I shouldn't have to wait months or longer for a game to be playable.

I feel as though I have purchased a broken product.

9mb level 29 with tons of rares and locations discovered...countless hours spent on side missions and misc tasks i have around 40+hours of gameplay
game freezes on occasion ...especially in high traffic area's...lag spikes here and there, but by far the worst of all the game breaking glitch i've experienced on alduins wall main quest causing the npc's (esbern and delphine) to run back to the beginning of the cave and stand still. started a new game and the autosaves function started overwriting saves from my previous character

Like many above, registered to share my disapproval of this nonsense.

Level: 39
Time Played: 73 hours.
File Size: 10MB.

Can't get rid of the lag, no matter what. It's even worse in Markath. I'm like a kill on sight target now, no way to get round that. Put THAT with lag, can't proceed in one of the quests.

Sort it out Bethesda!

Same as all others. Nasty lag.

Just ran into another interesting bug. Just running around discovering areas. Had just discovered the Lady stone. Was killing slaughter fish than followed me over to the island, and then I hear a thud, like the noise of a dragon dropping in on me. Come to find out, the dragon dropped out of the sky dead. No combat, nothing. Free dragon soul. I guess my character is becoming so over powered that dragons are now just dropping dead at the sight of me.

* The above wasn't a troll. It actually did happen.

My PS3 320 GB slim purchased on the 22nd of November alongside with Skyrim froze four times during the last hour, had to force shut off the console each time. I have turned off all the autosave features. Level 45 with 42 hours of gameplay. There is nothing else than two Skyrim save files installed on the console. Had minor FPS problems before the patch update, but now the game is unplayable. Thanks Bethesda, for ruining my 13 days old console.

Another unhappy customer:

Had three separate characters: first with about 60 hours, second about 30, third about 25-30. Followed separate story lines for each, to test out the game, and each was filled with glitches and low frame rates.

The last file also started freezing. It was a fresh start after the new patch.

Also, my wife's character (about 80+ hours) suffered massive frame rate drops and frequent freezes. Also started corrupting save files.

Alas, I fell "victim" to it too.

I have a SLIM PS3 with 120 Gb HD.
I am level 46 and am in act II of the main quest.
My save file size (as it seems everyone comments on this) is 9.6 Mb.
Since yesterday, my PS3 FREEZES and I have to power it down. When the PS3 powers back up again, it has an error message that states that the hardware was not properly shut down and a system restore will be necessary. I've gone through this four times now, since Saturday. My PS3 had never had a problem and Skyrim is the only game I have been playing lately. I also experience the framerate drop and lag every hour or two.
I am very sad and dissappointed with this product, but I do like the game.
I hope Bethesda does something to fix all these problems.

Quest problems:
1. Blood on Ice quest is not "completable".
The culprit goes into the house, and when I attack him I can't kill him. He runs away and regenerates all his health and then comes back at me.

2. I have two items I can't get rid of from the Daedric quest of the night out drinking... I can't remember the name of the quest, but I can't get rid of the wedding ring that I had to return because I used "Persuade".

Note: Edited post to correct file size.

Hey Tluav Boy,

Im begining to get problems with my skyrim now. Never had problems with the 1.1 version as i didnt get enough playtime. However ive played about 38 hours now and I've got a 7.5MB save file. After about an hour and a half of play maybe less depending what i do while playing. The game starts to get random framreate drops and the odd 5 second freeze after loading a new area. The framerate drop is quite noticeable in populated areas such as whiterun where can run along and every 3 seconds or so the game pauses for a second and then resumes, almost like i was playing an online game with a really high latency etc. Also the pause menu and inventory menus become even more unresponsive and i can wait about 20 seconds before either menu will respond properly. The menu screens have always been a bit of a problem with taking ages to respond but never this long.

I have the original 60GB PS3 which i've had since the day it came out. It has 28GB of free HDD space left as well.

Level: 35
Time: 42 hours
Save File size: 8 MB

After 1 to 2 hours of playing the game becomes literally unplayable with lag and stuttering almost constantly wherever I go.

The hardest part here is 'where to begin', cuz I'm pretty sure the list I could make wouldn't end before I got bored making it... Anyway..

I've been in the game a considerable amount of time, around 81 hours by now, my save game file is 13 mb. (no patches / no system update to 4.0 (my internet provider and I are in battle cuz I can't download. Other story...)) The fps lag is IDIOTIC. For example, I left riften through the backdoor of my Honeywhatever house, and ended up on the docks, where I strolled into the woods for a morning walk. The few steps on the docks took me 8 pictures of a person in slightly different settings, aswell as about 5 minutes of time.

Sadly..., upon reaching the woods it's starting to get really annoying. Standing still, doing absolutely nothing at all, and yet the fps rate is so depressing suicidal people look like clowns in summer. It takes approximately 25-40 seconds to move from one picture to the next and so on...... At this point I decide this game has really, genuinely become unplayable.

Time of playing? .... about 30 minutes in (or less) I start to notice things getting laggy, after about 45-50 minutes it's unplayable, no matter where I am. If I'm deep in a dungeon in the middle of nowhere I have lags, mild lags so YAY I can walk... Too bad those caves are infested with enemies and as soon as I encounter one it's idiotic lags.

Also, I've experienced problems with quest npc's falling through the floor meaning I can't get a quest item off of them ruining the quest line.
My horse engages in battles for no apparent reason,
that black horse from the Brotherhood quest actually managed to commit suicide jumping off of a cliff. In one extremely lagged frame I saw it in the air, and in the next its neck made a pretty impossible move leading me to not be too surprised it died. (other than it being a horse from hell born from blubber of course......)
I still have that chick's flute after ending the quest (think it's in Solitude), aswell as a bunch of other glitches/bugs which can be found in other threads.

I'm really starting to wonder if we can't all assemble together as PS3 gamers and unitedly sue Bethesda for a game that should've still been on the drawing board instead of in our consoles.

Game was fine until my save file got around 8mb. At that point I started noticing frequent lag and stuttering. Initially, turning off the system and waiting a couple of hours would make the problem go away temporarily. However, when I reached a ~14mb save file, nothing seemed to work. My game would start lagging about 30mins in and only got worse as time went on. Eventually, I started noticing a lot of glitches in addition to the stuttering (e.g. certain dialogue options would stop appearing). I gave up and started focusing on a new character; the same problems started showing up at ~7mb save file.

Seeing the large number of people having the same problems leads me to conclude that Bethesda either (a) did no QA testing for the PS3 version, or (B) knew that the game was broken but sold it to us anyway. Either scenario is reprehensible.

I pick ©...final answer.

06/12/2011 (update already installed) Dialogues with an NPC, specifically quest NPCs and Followers, comes to an end without chance of skipping it and without leading to the following step. For example, the first time I met this issue was during the last steps of the quest "The Book of Love", when Fenrig, one of the NPCs involved, talked through the whole dialogue but the quest log didn't get the update, nor the NPC followed me as it should have. Again this issue has been tormenting me since then, repeating with all NPCs I met. Only a total reboot of my PS3 would fix the problem and it is a short-term fix, with the issue representing itself short after.
I also had many other issues which other gamers have already mentioned in this post, such as loading screen freeze and random game freeze.

I do have to say, despite all the lag and issues that start to happen after 30 hours or so, it has been A LONG TIME since I've been able to play a game which takes more than 8-15 hours to finish..

I have noticed an error in my Thu'um I had beat the game's main quest unlocking all 3 clear sky Thu'um but some how only have one after the patch.... i don't think its a major issue considering that Thu'um is useless now, at least I hope so, But over all the only other major issue i have faced was the damn Blood and Ice quest won't activate, i have gotten into the house and collected a lot of evidence with no activation it may be because of a choice made in the game resulting in a change of authority in windhelm but that seems like it shouldn't matter.

Seems like this is some sort of bull____ glitch or something:

I, level 19, wearing Superior Dwarven armor, gauntlets, boots, and helmet, plus Ebony shield and and using a Dwarven war axe vs. some Silver Hoods wearing iron armor and fighting me with knives and weak iron weapons.

These guys were doing a RIDICULOUS amount of damage to me. One arrow a woman shot at me took away 20% of my health. ONE.ARROW. Even fighting a Blood Dragon with Steel armor cost me less health. And I wasn't even using a shield or a spell ward. :verymad:

Really annoying, and it happened once before, except that guy was weaing hide armor.

You sure she wasn't using an enchanted bow or anything? Magic resistance is broke at the moment so that would explain the higher-than-expected damage.

No, they were all using low-level crap. I went through their corpses after they were all dead. Even Farkas "died" with 1 or 2 smacks. This was the Proving Honor mission for the Companions.
