Want a chance to play Dawnguard early? Following the success of our PC beta updates, we're excited to announce our Dawnguard Beta for Xbox 360.

Visit http://beta.elderscrolls.com/ to apply. The process should only take a couple minutes, but make sure to fill out all the information accurately. Applicants need a http://www.gamesas.com/ and you'll want to make sure your forum email address is updated.

We will be selecting applicants in about a week. Players accepted into the beta will receive an Xbox LIVE code to redeem Dawnguard. The beta is the full version (complete with Xbox LIVE achievements) and those participating will not have to purchase the content.

A beta, eh? That means it must be close to launch. Maybe a July release date or even late June for the xbox? I really hope it's released on pc during the summer though, otherwise I won't have a chance to play it until far later on.

Only ever beta testing I did was for Star Wars the Old Republic, that was good chance to see how it works, will you tell us how to contact you if we need to report things like texture pop in issues,bugs,glitches,ect?

How many of these 360 kiddies will actually do REAL beta testing (especially stress testing and bug catching/reporting) instead of just using it as an excuse to get early access to the game...

Hopefully PC users get to beta test for future releases to ensure a quality launch-day release.

That may just be pure anger but in terms of what one can actaully do on the xbox is limited, as for me I quite enjyoing jumping all over things trying to break quests skip areas, parts etc.

Also I put in my date of birth and bam.. acsess denied?

discrimination towards console users? PC users in general could be just as "kiddy" and uncooperative as console users. Inviting a PC user to beta test does not guarantee they would play the beta to test and report things.

What is puzzling about this beta test is that would this risk leaking story and expansion content spoilers before launch? Reducing the surprises and fresh first playthrough by a lot?
