"Apply to be in the Dawnguard 360 Beta" #2

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 2:33 am

Why are PC users crying over this? Console users get a nice boost for once and people still complain that we won't 'test' it as much as the mature PC gaming master race will.
Yes it's kinda rediculous...many people that own a xbox also own a PC and played games for many years..and many have been playing PC games long before some of those "elite PC" gamers were even born.
I play games for over 20 years now across all plattforms.

Freddo said it in some thread earlier, and him being a Mod and all, i assumed he knew more than we.

True. And I think he is a non-US moderator so I am sure he and the other international mods got the word about the beta being US only.

Dont take my word though.

Guys, please dont start a console war, I really see no reason for it...

There will always be people who get upset over anything. But plenty of us have been perfectly supportive so please don't generalize about PC gamers. Thank you.

I wonder if people who play more hours will get into the beta?

Unlikely. They will probably want a mix of characters at different portions of the game and different levels, in order to try out how different characters function in the DLC.

wow all the over-reaction. Its basically a Unpaid job, you might have fun but your testing it for bugs; if anyone remembers the release of skyrim its not all that fun when your game crashes.

I have not seen any official word on this, however, based on the previous betas (Tribunal and Bloodmoon) they will probably be US only. It has to do with contract laws, NDA's, and other countries legal systems. Enforcement of any agreements across borders can be very difficult to enforce unless a team of lawyers from each country are involved. Not something they want to do for a DLC Beta. To keep it simple, they may very well limit the audience to those in the US.

Just signed up, I'm very excited for the add on either way. Looks really cool.

Edit: Would be an awful shame if it was US only :(

Nope, I'm in the always raining North of England so if it's US only no beta for me. :( Just gotta hope he's wrong, after all mods aren't always right. I'll believe it if Gstaff syas it. Looking at the post above I wish I had put location US. Not sure they would have found out.

I see, so it is not as easy as one would think. Thanks for chiming in though!

We haven't started a selection process yet. It's something that we'll be working on next week, but keep in mind that next week is also very busy with E3.

Probably US only...there are good reasons for it beeing US only but at the same time it seems kinda "unfair" if thats the right word.Lots of people around the world are paying&playing Bethesda games.
