Are the stormcloaks similar to the Nazis? : V - Skyrim

How so?
(Other than banning Talos worship)

They think they are the superior race/master race and want all human races and other to die out. That doesnt sound like Nazis to you? o.o

The Nazis were far worse than the Stormcloaks are portrayed and I think they're not comparable. The stormcloaks don't round up women and children and murder them according to racial or eugenic ideas for a start.

Anyway, Nazism was an ideology with a range of defining facets rooted in the era it arose in - not some people some of whom are kinda racist.

they believe they're the supreme race, want to bring everyone under their government and dominate the land (aldmieri DOMINION), torture their prisoners of war, ban worship of gods they don't approve of, etc.
The stormcloaks are rebels fighting for their homeland because they don't want to submit to the nazi regime of the thalmor

Every country has problems with racism, and most countries have occupied another country at some point in their history.
People will literally bring the Nazis up at the drop of a hat, and a fair few of them don't really understand what they're talking about.

It's not constructive, its not original, and its usually not true.

I don't think they are like Nazi's. While they do resmble the Nazi's, they are fighting because Ulfirc believes his is the High king of Skyrim, and that the Nord way of life is at risk from the Empire.

I think the Empire are more like Nazi's as they don't like people worshipping Talos. Much like the real life Nazi's in WW2 didn't take kindly to Jewish people. However as far as them being like Nazi's in terms of their actions ..... no none of them are like Nazi's.

Agreed.....case could be made about thalmor being similar to nazis, but not stormcloaks or the empire

The empire are the Nazis. They attempt to control other lands and take them over like the nazis. It has an all powerful emperor with an SS equivalent, penitus occulatus. They are persecuting those with different religious views, Talos/ judaism. The stormcloaks are a lot less like nazis.
