Hey guys, Im having some problems with Skyrim crashing. I made a thread a few weeks ago, but nobody knew what the problem was. I used to play Skyrim flawlessly with graphics enhancement mods back in December, when i started to get back into it now I was having quite a few problems. So first thing I did was uninstall Skyrim, all my mods, and basically wiped my system clean of anything related to Skyrim.

When I reinstalled and started playing again however, the crashing persisted. I can only play for about 5-10 min until everything stops. The picture freezes, sound stops, I cant do anything, including ctrl-alt-del, alt-f4, or anything. My only choice is a hard reboot.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Im on AMD driver 12.2. This happened with 12.1 also though. I updated my drivers in response to the crashing. Back in December when I had no problems, i was on 11.9, could this be the problem? No hardware changes whatsoever this whole time btw.

All other games work fine for long sessions as well.

Your rig looks very adequate to say the least....is it possible you have an out of date mod or mods? I don't really mod much so I have no expertise there. Obv stay away from 12.2 etc. as you seem to know about. Maybe a registry sweep(backup first) or a .ini dump and total reinstall and registry sweep. I had a few crashes and TESV not responding due to a sunshadowupdate change in my ini. We seem to have similar CPU and GPU series at least cards so I can only share what I did which was the above things. Feel free to PM me on here as I might respond faster if you have any questions.
