So the new ability to rent servers on Playstation gave me a ridiculous battle today.

It was Rush, and I was on the defending team. I keep forgetting the name of the map, but it's the one in the desert with oil wells and the first two M-COMS are near a rock and ones under a building? Anyway, it was 400 tickets for the attackers and I was in my mojo. We wore them down to 100, they got our objectives. We got them down to 100 again, they got our objectives, I quit after that. My stats before I quit, 21000 points with change, 92 kills or something, and God knows how many ribbons. Leveled up the match before, and leveled up this match, that's how much XP I got. I'm pretty sure I revived about 70 people. I was playing Assault, AEK with a underslung rail and grenade launcher and defib. GREAT MATCH!

Operation Firestorm. And why not stick it out? Sure, it's a loss, but tons of exp? I'd take it! I average only about 3000-5000 a match (on PC), so 21000, I may just call it a night after that game. Go to bed happy haha.

We play online FPSs. You know we're not very literate.

Spoiler
I'll type up an intro post with everyone's names tonight.

So, I've started doing a "10 second clip of the day" on my youtube channel (to help force me to start making longer videos again) and I just posted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6AryI9QQuY from probably 600+ meters out on Caspian Border.

How does one join the BGSF group on Origin, or do you have to play on PC to do that. I have origin set up.

What? You don't like my intro? Deal with it. :P

(I'll write up a better one sometime later.)

I'm going to start playing a lot more. Maybe we could have like a weekly highlight real of team Skid-Loader? :P

I think the platoon leader or owner or whatever has to accept an application from you. Let me check real quick.

You want to play a few matches real quick? I have Regional Competition for Track tomorrow so I need to hit the sack about 10:30 instead of 1:30 as usual.

At work for another 20 minutes. I'll be home in an hour or so. Figure by 8 I could play.

Alright, sounds good bro.

Btw, how do you do your videos? I have a full version of Fraps, but even when I record in half resolution (native is 1920x1080) I barely get more than 3 mins a video.

Do you just record all the matches and then go back through and find the videos you need? And what do you use for compression?

30FPS, 1920x1080, Full Size, 120 second Buffer.

Hold down your record key, the numbers will turn purple. Press again and it will save the last two minutes of gameplay and continue recording, so you're not wasting space and you have plenty of time to capture the moment even if you forget to hit record right away.

I don't compress anything until I render it out in Sony Vegas. I put the .avi file that Fraps makes into Vegas, trim down to what I want, then render it out in .m2ts at 1920x1080, 30FPS (since that's what I recorded in). Works great for YouTube and my harddrive. Only problem is that YouTube won't upload and process it at the same time like it will with a .wmv or .mp4.

Never knew you could do that haha

Thanks man! I'll try it out in a minute and see if I can get it to work. :P

So you don't compress your videos or anything before uploading them? Must take forever haha

Well, rendering them into .m2ts makes them smaller. A 12 minute .m2ts video is about 1.3GB whereas a Fraps 2 minute .avi file is about 4GB.

Just noticed a new, and extraordinarily frustrating, bug.

About half the time I deploy a bipod, using an LMG (haven't tried it with other weapons), the gun still has it's normal amount of recoil. This has killed me so many times, and it's getting very irritating.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Not knowing which one to send it to, I sent an application to both, so it should be there.

^^that

I had close to 140 revives. Went from having a total of 800 something to 1018. And I had a TON of assists. If I would have killed everyone I got below 50% health I would have had about 50 kills. It was ridiculous. I'd start blasting into a group with my Famas, and then I'd get shot out of nowhere from the side. Then I'd get like 600 points in assists a few seconds later.

Spanky and I laid waste to this one group of guys. He ended up coming out with 900+ points from 4 seconds of gameplay, and I came out with about 800.

Possibly the most amazing match I had today. On Operation metro, we struggle in the beginning as attackers, but pull it off. Then on the next set of mcom we had 2 lives left and we armed an mcon, then we swiftly armed the second one. They disarmed the first one, so 1half our team runs into the bathroom one. I'm pretty sure everyone died but me so I revive one guy and kill two people guarding it, then the other guy arms it just in time. Then on the next set it happens again except on one mcom. Right as it is about to explode I hear a guy disarming it, so I run though a hailfire of bullets and somehow manage to kill him in the nick of time.

...Then we lost on the next set. :(

My squadmate, Lewis, blew up three scout helicopters with his RPG on Noshahr Canols! Three!

I've also found a new love for the M60.
