But....But...That is what sells these days, blatant gore with no story or meaningful content. The kiddies are eating it up for $60 bucks a pop and BGS is laughing all the way to the bank and probably went to Aruba for Xmas....

And to think, not long ago there was a thread about "theres not enough blood in this game."

I do not see why blood is such an issue, to each his own I guess.

I actually enjoy the gruesome animations, of course not against an innocent women. But boy did it look cool when that 21 inch blade was jammed straight into Ciceros esophagus.

I know, this sort of conversation reminds me of my grandmother telling me that Spartacus is too gory.

This looks like the Teletubbies in comparison. :P

You *do* realize that there is no non-violent way to kill people with melee weapons, right? This is real life i'm talking about, too... you're using a sharpened peice of metal that can be longer than your arm to cause fatal damage to someone. Usually means lots of blood everywhere. Sticking it *through* them is the least violent method to dispatch someone.

Spartacus is one of the best shows on television and its great your grandmother actually watched it.

Skyrim cannot compare to that series in terms of blood and gore.

Heaven forbid the killings be violent! No fighting in the war room!

The game needs more gore. MORE

Just kidding, I think it's just about perfect the way it is. If I'm beating someone over the head with a hammer, I want them to bleed and break like I'm beating them over the head with a hammer.

The kill is not that gory. But due to some bad positioning it could be interrupted as something else. Still its not that bad.

Dude it is so awesome and SUCH b.s that Spartacus died from cancer.

I think she watched about 10 minutes, then it just got weird and I was like...

"Grandma?"

"Yes?"

"I should probably go cook dinner, these six scenes are pretty awkward."

Then she made an inappropriate joke about jerked chicken.

I don't think there is enough alcohol in the world to drown that memory...

True. The kill is supposed to go in the back of the NPC.

But still...That really looks like it's going straight up the butt.

That is... the most awesome thing I've read all day, actually.

My brother just got me hooked on Spartacus a couple weeks ago. Needless to say, I couldn't watch more than 2 episodes with him in the room, grown-up or not. XP

To the OP: If you're playing on PC, there are mods to tone down the mature elements in the works. Hop over to the mod forum, and you can track the one that seems best to you. If you're on xbox... magic and archery don't have killcams.

A good Mage leaves no blood. (And no body for that matter)

IRL things are bloody? No way?!

Oh, but this is not real life, it's a video game. The gore doesn't even look real to me.

The thing I hate about the slow motion kills is when you see one you immediately know there are no more enemies around. It kind of ruins the suspense gained by wondering if there is anyone else around.

I really wish that like FONV we could turn this stupid kill cam off.

I don't get what is so bad about that, it isn't like it is completely over-the-top like Fallout. I have more problems with the killcams being to frequent.

That was funny lol,but I actually feel Skyrim needs more gore, especially for the decapitations, blood should be gushing out of the body if a head removed, since your severing the jugular and etc. It doesn't effect the experience at all, just a pet peeve of mine.

My reaction was Skyrim isn't violent enough. Maybe I played too much Duke Nukem 3D in the 90s, but I like my games extremely gory.

I always have a good laugh when an NPC pulls a finishing move like that on me.
