I think it would be extremely entertaining if every tenth customer that enters a store had chainsaws fastened to their arms, and let loose.

then we broadcast it as a pay per view extravaganza and make a zillion bucks

So I woke up at 7AM, went to breakfast, walked to the base BX and all the stuff that was on sale was still there so I grabbed Madden 12 for $40 (I know it was $30 at Best Buy and Wal Mart but I would have had to have paid for a cab to get there and on base is tax free so it all worked out) and walked back. Nice peaceful Black Friday and I didn't have to get up mad early...lol. I kind of want to get Forza 4 for $40 too but I decided against it. Still have a lot to play anyway.

So I went with my girlfriend and four other guys and got Gears 3 at Walmart for $28 and decided to hang around the electronics department to watch people go nuts over the cheap TVs. After we had our laughs we decided it was time to leave the store because more and more people were crowding in and it would be difficult to leave. We were in the parking lot for maybe 30 seconds when two guys come up to me and tell me to give them what was in my bag. I said "[censored] off" and a fight ensued. Naturally, my girlfriend freaked out and started screaming (which she had no reason to because I won the fight) and ended up causing a big scene because a bunch of people started staring....

Long story short, I got my game, my robber got a broken arm, and my girlfriend got a lot of hugs from strange old women because she wouldn't stop crying.

I guess it was a successful shopping day...

So I went to Gamestop and picked up the Xbox 360 Slim I mentioned earlier in this thread. Turns out I was right about Gamestop not being too bad. The Wal-Mart and the Best Buy nearby were a different story. Best Buy had a line that literally wrapped around the building twice, and the people parking for Wal-Mart took up the entire plaza's parking lot. Gamestop's line extended about two storefronts when the store opened (and I got there pretty early so I was within the first five people in line), so it wasn't too bad, not much more crowded than one of their preorder events actually. It took me about 20 minutes to get Skyrim and the Slim and get back out to my car.

Already did most of my Black Friday shopping...yesterday. Ordered a new 23" monitor from Newegg, and I ended up getting a heat sink with a fan and some thermal paste for a total of $4.99. The only thing is I'm not going to see anymost of my savings until sometime next year because of how ridiculously slow rebates are.

But, I didn't have to camp outside, mess with crowds, or worry about having a hot deal sell out.

Wow, some people go completely mental over a couple bucks in savings. Good thing your would be assailant was a wuss, I'd hate to hear somebody got shanked for a couple of half off video games. These are the kinds of things that make me sick of consumer culture...

What's your game plan for Black Friday?

I going to shop online, that way I still get some good deals and I don't have to worry about the chaos in the stores.

Lol I love all your Black Friday stories. xDD Anything interesting happen this year? An old woman go trampled in front of an Hhgregg and there were shootings in a bunch of Wal-Marts up in the "ghetto" side of my city. :P

I wish it was legal for the general public to do the same thing...
