You might want a few good weapons, a good suit of armour and SOME food, water and medical supplies i.e doctors bags, stims, chems if you need em. That's all you really need.

Well if you are on hardcoe 50lbs will be hard without bringing enough food water and ammo. I suggest a gecko backed reinforced leather armor and the pulse gun, some energy cells, a few pulse grenades, and a zap glove.

First what in the world were you trying to do with your character?
I don't see a build at all.
Also some of the perks you chose are just ridiculous:
Cowboy and Grunt? Those two don't overlap but at least those two are decent perks
Here and Now (Really? you waste an entire perk just to grow a level?), Lady Killer, Tag!, Junk Rounds, Day Tripper, Ferocious Loyalty, Strong Back, Life Giver are all completely useless perks. (Thats 18 lvls of either completely worthless or almost worthless perks)
No wonder you need your companions to kill things for you because with that kind of build you will be lucky to survive getting mobbed by a bunch of molerats to say the least about survive getting bum-rushed by Deathclaws.

So first things first you need to answer a few questions:
1. What kind of weapons are you gonna be using? Be very specific. Don't just say Guns because there are several different types. Are you gonna use SMGs, Shotguns, Lever-Action weapons, Rifles, etc. Melee or Unarmed? Energy Weapons (Laser or Plasma?)
2. Do you use VATs a lot or do you like to free shoot?
3. What skills do you like to focus in? Guns, Repair, Science, Lockpicking, Sneak etc?
4. What are your SPECIAL points? And have you gotten any of your implants?

Last but not least I honestly suggest you just restart your entire character (or if you are on PC use console commands to switch up your entire build and stats etc) because otherwise you will prob end up getting rofl-stomped by the next mob around your level you face.

(I mean HONESTLY with that build how did you kill a single deathclaw accept for using a ton of mines and C4?)

Fallout New Vegas gets boring if all you do for each character is get the best perks, weapons, and stats. Make it fun and switch things up...have some detrimental perks to make it more of a challenge. Hell the purpose of New Vegas is not to get the most badass character possible it is to have fun playing a game and doing what you want.

Don't restart the character. You're fine as you are. I would recommend at least one mid-high level energy weapon to fight the machines maybe. other than that though do whatever you feel like.

edit: even with that build Lucky can get you dead Deathclaws.

Looks like you have a pretty goog Guns build going. With Cowboy and Grunt, you're going to have a killer combat knife damage boost. If you're playing hardcoe, pick some light armor (Gecko backed will help dealing with energy weapons and flamethrowers we're undoubtedly going to see in OWB) and something with good armor piercing rounds would be good too. (That Gun fits pretty well, a little heavy for a pistol but devistating against armored targets) That Assault Carbine is pretty light, though you'll have to carry quite a bit of ammo with you. The rest I would save for doctor's bags, food, and water.

If you're not playing hardcoe mode, stock up on energy weapon ammo, and .308 rounds. Pick you're favorite two slug throwers and you're good. Personally I'm not going to bring any EW along with me to OWB, becuase I'm pretty sure I'll be getting some new toys by the time I get there. I'm also going lightwieght in armor, Siera Madre Reinforced Security Armor.

Detrimental perks or less overpowered perks I can understand if you are doing it intentionally. But this guy has like 2-3? somewhat decent perks?

Also why would you recommend a mid-high level energy weapon when from the looks of it he doesn't have energy weapons perks or skill to back it up? You can use the beastly Holorifle but without a decent energy weapons skill it won't kill anything.

Honestly he didn't tell us his Skills or what type of weapons he specialize in so how are we supposed to help him without knowing that?
Also lucky can get you a dead Deathclaw if you have a decent level of luck but from the looks of the perks he chose I am starting to doubt he has Luck over 5.
Without a decent luck stat its hard to kill things with Lucky.

Like I said Grunt and Cowboy are decent perks.
But you don't even have the Handloader perk.

And how about the rest of the perks you chose?

Hey, I took cowboy and grunt.

1st because I like revolvers and the lever action rifles and shotgun. (.44 mag or mysterious magnum, cowboy repeater until trail rifle, lever action shotgun, chance's knife, dynimite)

2nd because grunt wasn't out yet and when it did it made some other guns I liked more usable. (All-American, Survivalist's rifle .45 and Light in shining Darkness, Chance's knife, grenades)

3rd because its MY build ( or more to the point of your post HIS BUILD to do what he liked with)

Take 2-3 guns you use regularly, stims, doctor bags, whatever chems you use, food ect. if hardcoe mode and Favorite/Best armor (I never need/use more than the best I have on at the moment, but I have juryrig to repair, if unique or hard to find bring second set to repair.)

I think I might have the 3 weapons down or I might take 4 or 5 because I have the hevyweight perk so any weapon that is over 10 is now half, butr im thinking Gatling Laser, moded light machine gun, pulse gun , Moded 45 auto sub, and survivalists rifle. But still conflicted on armour.

Why wouldn't you take grunt and cowboy? You put those two perks together and that massively improves a huge amount of weapons in the game.

But things like grunt and cowboy only raise the damage of them by a bit. Like, why would you waste a perk on 'Finesse' just to increase your critical chance by 5%? That's not much of a noticeable difference.

Here is what I'm bringing:
1 Pulse Gun (for all of the robotic enemies)
1 Lucky (for the rest)
1 Wasteland Wanderer Outfit (something to use for repairs)
5 Weapon Repair Kits
5 Stealth Boys

That should be 20.5 Pounds right there; I'm probably going to pick up anything not nailed down so this works for me.
