one more question.......

1. If you are wanting to play with other players can they join without invite or do you have to send them an invite?

I'm pretty positive that they have full drop in/drop out support. So your friends can just jump in when they want.

Edit: Tis confirmed ^_^

Have the developers considered how Brink might perform in a competitive or 'professional' setting, such as in online leagues and tournaments as well as LAN events such as Multiplay's i-Series?

This is in the sense of how it might be seen alongside games such as Counter-Strike, StarCraft II, Call of Duty 4, and Team Fortress 2.

Would Bethesda / Splash Damage involve themselves with such players via anything from assistance in setting up a league for teams to providing in-game medals or such, as Valve has done in TF2?

I look forward to hearing your views on this.

1). When I hit the level cap of 20 will I have unlocked everything or will you have to pick (for example) half of the perks with one character, hit the level cap and then have to make another character which will choose the perks you did not the first time?

Will you make post release updates about performance optimisation ? The requirements seems really heavy to me, so I'm just wondering. Seen a lot of games recently who had to be patched really quick because of really really bad game optimisation.

We already know this.

No character will be able to have every unlock.

There are almost 60 abilities, and you can only get a maximum of 20 of them on a single character.

1) Will there be a map editor?
2) Will there be some form of theatre mode?

That was exactly I was thinking...now my question was, will there be any camouflage on any weapons, and what will the SMART button look like for the PS3 and XBOX360? (for example: PS3 SMART Button: Press X or [])-just a guess.

I think that the SMART button will be an anolog stick so sprinting at a box will make you climb over it automatically.

Actually the default Sprint/SMART button is either L2 or R2 for PS3 and LB or RB for XBOX. I can't remember exactly which. But the controls are fully mappable so you CAN change the button to the anolog stick to make you Sprint/SMART if you choose.

RB for xbox
R2 for PS3

I think it's LB
that way you can shoot/ use SMART at the same time more fluently

With exactly three weeks to go before it hits stores, we're opening up the mailbag again to take your questions about any and everything regarding Brink.

Wondering about the most minute gameplay detail -- or curious about post-release support? Splash Damage CEO Paul Wedgwood is standing by to answer your questions. Leave a comment here -- we'll collect them all and get as many answered as we can.

You'll have FULL customisation of controls.

You can create your own southpaw setup easy enough.

I wonder if you can swap the movement or aiming onto the d-pad?

1) I am a very dedicated sniper, and from what I've seen/heard, long rifles don't look too promising. Is there really any reason to use them over a fully-auto rifle?

2) How soon, if at all, can I expect post-release DLC? What will it be (weapons, missions, etc?)

3) Can you change ammo types, such as "Incendiary" or "Explosives" (similar to ME)?

4) Will there be a system similar to CoD's "clan tags"?

1. Effective range, MASSIVE per-shot damage in comparison with full-auto weapons - better as a rear-line support weapon, while retaining mid-range functionality (think Battle Rifles).

2. Good question. I'll second asking this.

3. Soldiers can give out armour piercing and incendiaries, supposedly.

4. Another good question - I hope so.

Definitely not. Portal 2 can do so because it's a cooperative game. In a FPS it would be miserably unfair for console players because PC players are more have a higher sensitivity and are more accurate since they can aim by placement of their hand, while we can only use a thumbstick.

So, this may seem like a stupid question, but is the parkour in the game basically just jumping and vaulting over stuff, or doing crazy stuff like in Mirror's Edge? You kind of talk about it, but I haven't seen anything other than jumping, sliding, and vaulting so far.
Thanks.
