A call to the wolfpack #4

*Whistles* Offcourse not, its not like anyone of us has suggested hunting vampires or anything...
Don't take this the wrong way, but if a vampire was killed by one werewolf alone, I would consider them to weak to be a vampire, and deserving of death.

Good for you, *spits out a ball of ash*. How about 50 vampires being killed by one werewolf alone? (Not all at the same time offcourse).

Hello my lycanthropic friends. I trust that none of the newbloods have done anything to upset our already delicate truce?

Nah, is all good

If by some unfortunate accident you and your brethren find death, are their bodies part of the truce?

You want to eat our bodies? If undead flesh appeals to you, be my guest.

Most vampires I've run across were barely worth eating. I'm hoping vampire lords are made of more substantial material and provide a worthwhile hunt.

Ah, no. I prefer blood, my brother (see siggy). I meant the Lycans.

Common guy's I'm thinking long term here. If it turns out that Dawnguard are like the Vigil of stendarr and will hunt both vampires and werewolves alike then they will win because of the tried and true tactic " divide and conquer ", remember... " the enemy of my enemy is my friend " . For all we know both vampires and werewolves will be on the Dawnguards hit list, last thing we need is to be in the middle of eating vampires when the Dawndguard move in for the kill. Which leads to an uneasy truce, it's in the benefit of both vampires and werewolves.

Uhm... Why dont we Werewolves just kill the Dawnguard and the Vampires? Normal Vampires arent that hard to kill, sure the Vampire lords might be harder, but there still mainly spell casters (or so i have heard). My Werewolf has considerable magic resistance even in beast form. (Not to mention that i have even greater magic resistance, armor and fire/frost/shock resistance when in my human form, basicly my char is a mage hunter).

And what if some of the rumors we've heard about the dawnguard are true? Would you fight your siblings for them?

Yes that is an option, but it's harder to defend two fronts then one. There's still the slim chance that the vampires will turn on us, but from a lore point of view I don't see them as enemy, I see them more as potential prey
You guy's that have magic resistance, are you counting the racial perk from being a Breton? If you are according to Wiki racial perks of that nature don't carry over to your werewolf form, the werewolf form is actually considered a different race ( in game ). Racial perks like the " berserker " perk from being an Orc can carry over because it can be cast before changing.

No, when in beast form i count the lord stone, the magic resistance allteration perk, and the agent of Mara special perk, giving me a total of 65% magic resistance.

Offcourse you can also drink potions that increase everything from health regen to magic resistance just before you transform.

I've made a couple " super potions " using the restoration potion loop just for that reason

For Dawnguard I have a nice level five werewolf with all the totems found. Perfect to let me experience lycanthropy the whole game and earn the perks early.

Well when I last was here the vampires had just agreed to a truce, but it would appear that some still wish to bush our patients. Not a wise decision

I gave the challenge another go last night and still never made it past Markarth :stare: , I swear it was a dragon convention or something. As soon as I left Ivarstead an ice dragon spotted me, I made quick work of it :bunny: But as I made my way to Helgen another ., an ancient dragon this time and it was bouncing between attacking me and the bandits that have mad the ruins of Helgen their home. The dragon killed everyone within Helgens walls and then turned it's attention to me, a glorious battle ensued and the dragon was torn asunder.
Anyway to make a long story short, between Ivarstead and Markarth I managed to bump into 5 dragons, 3 giants and various random NPC's on the road. I'm really liking this challenge, the fact that I keep hitting a wall just makes me want to do it more  I sahll give it another go tonight and this time i will succeed
A little tip that I picked up on with the last couple dragon Vs werewolf encounters, you can stagger a dragon with the power swipe ( the same one that ragdolls NPC's ) and if you have enough stamina you can keep the dragon from opening it's mouth just by power swiping, it even interrupts the dragon from using it's breath. I now have a method for hunting dragons ( while their on the ground ), you sprint into the dragon so to close the gap fast and once your next to it stand between the head and the wing( around the shoulder area ) this way you avoid the crushing power of it's tail and you can keep an eye on the dragons mouth and just power swipe every time it makes a move to either bite you or belch out a blast of fire effectively stopping it's attack and opening it up to yours
Keep in mind though, if the dragon takes flight or just hovers then I recommend running sporadically so that thedragon can't really get a bead on you. You shoul continue this until it lands, I find if you put a little distance between you and the dragon lures it to the ground and then you strike, sprint into the dragon, place yourself right next to either shoulder and give a power swipe. Rinse and repeat as outlined above and you will make quick work of the dragon.

Happy hunting

P.S 4 threads of werewolf goodness and only minor interference from the blood svckers  we're going to rule Dawnguard :bunny:
Quite the contrary my furry nemesis. We the Vampire Lords shall rule all!! And you pitiful fur balls shall serve us or face extinction!

Good show, I do hope that the Dawnguard are only concerned with the vampires, it would make thing much easier. Your no beta tester are you ? I wouldn't want a pack brother to get in trouble  I as well have heard rumors of our bear brethren returning, which is why I keep issuing warnings to the hostile vampires. They really don't know what would be in store for them if we decide to make our move  I am torn though, I have two potential toon's to turn into a werebear, Gorgun who is already a werewolf or Leonidas who's going to be the human vampire hunter a true Dawnguard

Nah, pc player. But if I can't play it on the 26th, I might as well conjure up a story to kill time. I really do hope we'll get lycanthropy followers. Bear or wolf.

Honestly, give it up. A truce is something we can bothe benifit from, a war will weaken us and make us easy pickings for the Dawnguard.

I created a Nord Werewolf Archer about 2 months ago, been having a blast. He's now level 39, and so far I've finished the Companions (dur), and Stormcloak Questline--along with becoming Thane of Whiterun, Morthal, Windhelm, Riften, and as of lately Markarth. But, reading the OP has inspired me to challenge myself...

To start off big, my first challenge would be an exodus across Skyrim as a Werewolf on Master. I started a little ways off from a farm settlement across the river from Windhelm, drank 5 health potions (the kind that increase base health), went stealth mode, and I was off. Beginning was rather easy, only came across 4 packs of wolves. However, circling the Dragon Wall halfway to Ivarstead didn't work. Was knocked down to hardly a sliver of health left before killing it. The strategy in the OP actually worked, which was fortunate. My usual method of Dragon Killing while in Werewolf form would have had a different outcome (i.e spamming power attack until running out of Stamina...). Before I arrived at Ivarstead I saw a Giant's Camp marker, but decided to keep going in that direction. When I arrived, I didn't see any Giants, so I sprinted passed a rock where a Giant literally jumped out of the blue and smacked the [censored] out of me. I sprinted like crazy and arrived at safe overhang. And then a wild [censored] Ancient Dragon appeared. I could have taken it, but the area ahead was mostly thick brush, the only nearby plain being the top of the small cave I was regenerating in. I couldn't get back up the route I went down, so I tried sprinting around. Eventually; though, the Dragon kept on bombing with Fire breathe and I had to return to the safe cave zone twice before I had a good opportunity to get to the open area. I got there, and I SWEAR the area was large enough. But he kept on Fire bombing me, and killed me before I could get back to the cave. Maybe a smaller challenge next time...
