When I first joined these forums, I was around... what? Twelve? Thirteen years old? I was what any kid my age would have been: Arrogant, annoying, and very... desiring of attention, to say the least. Thanks to the maturity of this forum, and the Elder Scrolls/Fallout Fan Fiction, I was able to mature at a very fast pace compared to those around me.
Over the years, the Community Discussion area has turned into more than just a sub-forum for me. Seeing members post on here is like seeing relatives communicate at family-get-togethers. You have SilverEagle, always asking questions. Ratslayer, a bit cranky, but still nice to have around for company. Old Andy, that guy doing the card tricks that everyone knows and loves... and so many other members.
I could list at least thirty people, along with their personality that I have seen on this forum.
My point here is that the Community Discussion is a forum like no other. You know the majority of the people posting, and in a way grow attachment toward them. The same can not be said for forums like the Skyrim General, World of Warcraft Forums (every single one), EA, and so on, so forth. It goes to show that not only does Bethesda succeed as a company for it's fans, but also that if done right, amazing communities can be formed.
I have been apart of this forum since late 2008, and I plan to be apart of it in late 2018. Keep up the good work moderators, and keep up the... other stuff, forum members.
