Comprehensive Patch when!

Post » Tue Feb 15, 2011 11:04 am

The games been out since the 22nd of October, it's now the 18th of November! It's all well and good releasing an incremental patch that 'fixes' some things but come on now nearly a month has passed since the game was released, where is the 'comprehensive' patch that's been mentioned?

You really need to pull your finger out because people like me who spent a lot of money on the game (in my case the collector's edition) deserve better..... You should NEVER release a game that's so buggy on release that it's virtually unplayable, and I'm not talking about unplayable as in can't play it at all, I'm talking about playing it but never knowing when/if it's going to crash, I mean for goodness sake why should we constantly have to sh*t ourselves and have to save the game at VERY regular intervals just in case the game crashes!

Sort it out......

Well aren't you the clever one! For your information the 'done' date should have been BEFORE they released the game.

This aint Blizzard son.

Clearly,

Oh and I'm not your son.

Good for him to know, finally

Your hostility towards other users is hard to understand. As a matter of fact everyone here shares your desire to have a functional game.

At the least, fix VATS and the lever action firearms...whats the point of an RPG where you have to play as an FPS and where a third of your gun choices are bugged beyond use.

Please leave the snide comments on the general forums thanks, folks...

Bethesda have made well over 300 mill on fallout new vegas, far more than they needed to begin on a new project. If I were them I would hire another developer to fix the game and dump Obsidian completely. They can't possible expect people to pay for a half baked cake and many will probably demand a free meal in the future, even if they have to sneak into the kitchen.

anyway, i am also unable to play this excuse for a finished game. I just started up the game about 15 minutes ago and within 3 minutes i BSoD'ed as i have been doing since the release of this mess. I have a lot of games and when i mean "a lot" im not talking about 8 or 9 im talking about 30+ and not one of them make me blue screen, NO i am not going to post my specs because i can assure that my system is not to blame.

So do I more than 30 games, am a PC person, and I have many games that have given me the BSD. This is by far the least buggy game, try StALKER series.

I also have STALKER lol but i hate that game, i have to use sooo many mods just be able to have any fun with it. But back to the topic at hand, i just wish i knew why some people are crashing and why some people are not experiencing any problems at all.

Obviously it will be out prior to the DLC.

With a bit of luck they might even accidently test the two together.

But the DLC is just for the XBox so they may be focusing on the XBox.

In any case, I was going to buy some for Christmas presents for people who have PCs, but who wants to give someone a present that has a good chance of not working.

Better to wait.

Only for a period of 1-3 months is my guess.

The incremental patch introduced some bugs to things they thought had been fixed. Besides fixing those properly, they are probably trying to test it thoroughly since the majority of people will get auto-updated to it when it is released.

Fixing is always way too harder than implementing the game itself. So, give it a rest.
I know, they should've done this before releasing the game, but with so many pre-order, I myself would release it and cut the support after release :)

I think they should give us the first DLC for free as an act of good faith. They forced us to play this game with as many bugs as it has just because they wanted to beat Black Ops to the shelf. TBH, this game would have sold well whether BO was around the corner or behind.

Too early to complain? The game's been out for a month now. Exactly how much longer do we have to wait until it's 'OK' to complain might I ask? As far as I'm concerned, people should be complaining more and LOUDER until this game gets fixed.

We're putting the final touches on the patch. It shouldn't be too much longer. On the day it becomes available, we'll let folks know.

Since when? I played wow for 4 years and never saw anyone resembling Tech Support.

I don't think any of these companies hire people for tech support or quality control, but they got plenty of accountants!
