Dawnguard and Future DLC Discussion - Thread #20

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 3:08 pm

It's true even the Grey beards pretty much say he isn't dead because you didn't absorb his soul.
They said he may not be dead. but the point remains we might have to ill him again.
Its the same scratches, same helment and same armor in all of the pics of him since the start. It is just mirrored, for some reason.
False. in all the other pics he has on iron armor. he's wearing studded armor in this one.

No, i mean Alduin just faded away after we killed him. he could have gone somewhere in time to heal up by eating souls only to go into the body of someone else. i'm not saying Akatosh has anything to do with it.

Wouldn't Akatosh have influence anyways? He's the reason we didn't successfully vanquish Alduin. He is meant to be the one to end the world, Akatosh wouldn't allow a mortal to interfere with the greater picture, would... "He?". Perhaps Dawnguard is our Dovahkiin preventing epic-foil-Dovahkiin from creating a new Dawn Era?

The pic in the backdrop of this forum has Studded. It has always had Studded. Then I should say "most" or "other"? You kids put every word under a microscope.

I relly do like the idea of the dragonborn facing him/herself in some way with the image being mirrored or could be a mistake like DB cowl lol.

Technically Dovahkiin isn't a mortal he's a Dragon. Akatosh knows that Alduin is evil. why would he place him in a human body to punish another of his children?

Wait a minute, i have another speculation.
Before SKyrim's release, in loads of interveiws, Todd kept insisting that you were the only Dragonborn known at the time.
Maybe, the Dawnguard is another Dragonborn? Which would not only be highly coincidental and clishé, but there would be no good story line. What a waste of a post Jay.

So it's coming "this Summer", to Xbox exclusively, which could technically be late August. Add another 30 days for PS3/PC players and we could be looking at late September for the first expansion. Cool.

I just searched for pics. Because this thing about the Armor, got me thinking. The only ones that I found with Iron are in-game pics. All the promo pics are Studded and they are all on backwards.

EDIT : I never noticed what the armor was exactly. I even questioned the armor type a few min ago, due to the mirrored image. They are all that way.

The idea of dragonborn facing him/herself in some way sounds great. Weird to see your own character as the evil enemy,Also voices for "your" character. or the enemy.

The "Rival" thing could be cool if done right it reminds me of what Ulysses could have been in New Vegas.

Ulfric can also use shouts (it's not just rumors, try to fight him before ending the civil war quests... he uses Unrelenting force at the very least). Doesn't that make him a dragonborn too?

Could have some sort of other being speaking through him/her as an avatar type deal and reason for the eyes

Anyone can learn shouts if they train for long periods in High Hrothgar.
The Dragonborn can learn a shout instantly.
I think.

No knowing shouts does not make you dragonborn it's you ability to absorb the dragons souls and learn from them. The Nords have the ability to learn shouts not sure on other races.

Considering the glowing eyes and the information regarding the snow elves which was found I'd think the glowing eyes have something to do with the Eyes of the Falmer. The eyes glow orange/red just like the Eyes of the Falmer and one of the eyes cannot be dropped or sold because it is marked as a quest item so maybe it's supposed to be used in the dlc including the snow elves. Just a thought but considering the theories that are bound to spring up the next weeks it does sound believable.

I forgot that you could sell one of the eyes to Delvin but the other one can be sold to anybody so It's not bound to the dlc, still a interesting thought though.
