Sadly alot of people will be doing this several of us myself included will be really testing the game and reporting bugs and glitches/texure pop ups, ect. I find myself hardly thinking of it as "getting DLC for free or playing early" instead thinking of it being as a "beta" if that makes sense

I saw this so many times: I participated in betas for BF: Bad Company 2, BF 3, M.A.G., PS Home, Killzone 3, Ghost Recon: FS, Assassins Creed: BH, Medal of Honor and many more on PS3 and 360. I regulary visited the developers forums and reported errors or balancing issue but the problem is that almost no one cares about reporting errors/bugs/glitches and most of them just play the beta and contribute nothing at all. It's hard (if not impossible) to seperate these people from others who really want to help.. I find this very sad because of these people some bugs stay in the beta without being spotted until the game goes gold... even very obvious issues can't be fixed timely.

I hope I'm chosen.. I've been waiting for this beta, like all of you probably, since we first found out there was going to be DLC for Skyrim xD.. I'm another one of those people that keeps checking their email over and over hoping there's a beta key waiting for me. Either way, this DLC is going to be amazing, seeing as how they're buffing Vamps and Werewolves. As well as adding crossbows, which in my opinion, should have been in the game in the first place =/

Hey guys, I am just wondering how are they going to pick people for the beta, is it going to be based off your activity in the forums? Do you have to put the the same email you use for your xbox live account?

Beta or not, at least the Crossbows will hopefully make the "Morrowind-Is-So-Much-Better-Than-Skyrim" people realize that Skyrim is catching up. No offense to anybody who could be offended.

Oh no, wont the crossbows also start a "Crossbow bolt to the knee" memefest!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Gosh guys, I read through 3 pages of replies to get here xD! Anyways, like I said before the applicants should get emails beginning tomorrow. So if you do not get it tomorrow, then wait. Because they have a daily que for how many they are sending out daily.

Where did you find the daily sending out part?

In the interview with Todd Howard at E3, he said that they will be sending the codes out through next week. So, deducing that down they must not be sending all the codes out in one day.

A daily que? How do you know this?

Purely speculation, though it is a logical one. Hear me out, if they can not send all the codes out in one day, then they have organized and found out how many they can send out during the week to get them all out. So a daily que. Don't take it as fact though, purely an observation.

10-30k seems a bit much, as there are very few people who have a forum account, an Xbox live account and have actually entered. So I imagine about 1,000 people.

I am glad I checked this thread. Didn't know that we had to have a forum account, but t makes alot of sense since we will have to report bugs and stuff. I signed up for the beta right when they announced it and just redid my app after i made a forum account. Hopefully it doesnt mess up my chance of getting in.

By my estimates if they pick around 20 beta-testers we have a 1/50 chance of being picked.
