Doubtful. It's more likely that people read Pete's tweet that they're not looking for the "best fans" (in other words, forum activity will not contribute to your odds of being selected).

All I really want is to make one of my favorite games even better, and a glitch free release for once from Bethesda... but really it has a lot more to do with making the game better, and to get free dawnguard, I mean, who doesn't, but all I really want is to make the game better, and to play dawnguard before EVERYONE else, but mostly to make it much better.

I think it has to do with the servers. Apparently, one massive thread puts more strain on the servers than a few medium-lengthed threads.
