Good thing I know that vampire lord is probably going to be glitchy

I am 100% sure, even the werewolf was after the release.
I will be glad to find any bugs(If I get chosen ofc) for the Vampire Lord, maybe even funny glitches, hehe.

Everyone is so determined to get a code, but do half of you actually intend on reporting bugs? i've seen it way to often that people want to get in a beta just to play it sooner than everyone else and they don't care about reporting bugs or any issues in the gameplay. I have been in 8 beta testings and would generally report no less than 10 issues a day. Beta testers shouldn't think that they are there just to play the game and see if they encounter a bug. A good beta tester should go in and try to break the game. When I'm in a beta test, I have a pen and paper beside me at all time to record everything about the bug/glitch/exploit. It's about making something awesome even better. Please, if you get into the beta testing, don't waste all of your time playing the game. Looks for issues, dig for them, do skill/spell combinations that you normally wouldn't do. TRY to break the game and report it.

People are kidding themselves if they think he would have said anything other than that... he is the PR guy, how would that look, doesn't really mean it's not happening though. And as far as I know, he isn't the one picking beta testers. I really don't see them picking people at random unless there using a large group of beta testers.
Are you in denial of not getting picked because you're a "senior forumer" and that they said they're not favoring to older fans? Seriously, stop being so selfish about it.

People complain if something is broken even if they got it for free, "Bug reports" will pop up on every forum on the internet before long. You also have to consider internal testing which I'm sure has already been going on for a while.
You really think most of these new guys want the beta so they can "test" it? Sure some of them will, I even believe we'll be seeing threads like "lol dawgnard is glitchy, bethesda fails for relesing it in this state."

Yes i intend to, I paid $60 for Skyrim only to have nothing but a glitched up game, so saving the people from glitches is now my only reason to live.... But anyway, $20 is a pretty good amount of money so they better pick the right people.

You can't prove that. Wait a second, are you questioning me to make it seem like you don't have the code? He has the code, GET HIM!!!
That's what you was doing just moments ago! you have attracted attention to yourself.

Nah, if any of us had a code we would not be in this thread.

When you have a large group of people they don't need to do that, they will all be playing differently and have a greater statistical chance of running into bugs. Then it's just a matter of time before they chat about it on the internet and the bugs start to get listed.

How I figure it is when the Beta gets released, certain people will be able to post the bugs and whatnot in private forums. They have all the names, so if someone doesn't report they should be blacklisted for future Beta testing. Even if they haven't encountered any glitches for some odd reason, you STILL need to go onto the forum after a bit of testing to say " So far things are running smoothly! "

Yeah, that is very very true, and there are benefits such as loyalty from Bethesda, they might even remind of bug testing skills to rely on in every beta test.
It is making a difference to the whole game, to the future who is going to play the Expansion.

Veteran beta tester here, (been doing game and application beta tests since 1997). I'll be "doing my duty" of logging and reporting bugs.

Just hyped for playing some more Skyrim at the moment.

I think it has to do with the servers. Apparently, one massive thread puts more strain on the servers than a few medium-lengthed threads.
It used to be that, but now they stick to the limit as by that time the thread is usually off topic and a new one brings it back on track.
