Dawnguard Beta - Thread #31

Post » Fri Jun 15, 2012 11:55 pm

Congratz again to those from yesterday and good luck to those today. Now, I know for those of you who applied but did not get chosen had good intentions and wanted to actually beta test, but something I just want off my chest after seeing the storm yesterday: I am actually glad some (I said some, not all. Not naming names) of you did not get in. From all the different posts of rage and flames, it proved that you only wanted the beta just because and treated the beta sign up as a lottery or giveaway.

I am not trying to put anyone down or be rude, just something I wanted to point out.

I have to agree with everything in this post. :)

I agree - as long as we get a relatively bug free dawnguard

Only time will tell

Some of the rage posts were pretty funny though...

Only people accepted into the beta, Otherwise the NDA would be pretty useless :)

Come on now. Really? Do you even have to ask? Sounds harsh, but use some context clues there buddy.

They posted about 7-9 mins ago that the second wave is about to start, so check you emails in the next few hours, you never know, you could just be the lucky one. Also with everyone complaining about it only being a US beta, the majority of the players are in the US. Bethesda is located in the US that is why they are only giving the codes out to the US. Also, by complaining, it just shows that you just want it for a free DLC, stop cring about it and just buy it when it comes out June 26th. That is what I'm going to do, and even if I do get it, I'm going to buy my friend Dawnguard because I think they need the money. But I think Bethesda should not of given the beta out, it should have just been a demo that everyone could have downloaded that way everybody can play some of it, but not the whole thing, then have something like this, so a select few people could play through the whole thing, but still have to pay for it, maybe at a reduced price as well.

I didn't even apply .... Honestly betatesting this on a consolle makes few sense to me unless they are pointing only to catch framerate problem on that platform ... A pc user would be better suited for testing out and catch all bugs and problems ...

Why? Because the pc community could come up with lightspeed unofficial bug fixes befoure even bethesda aknowledged the bugs .... I think the final release of dawnguard will still be filled with all sort of bugs ...

The reason it would be US only is because its hard to enforce an NDA over seas. And complaining about not getting the chance to test a beta that u signed up to simply because of where you live dones't mean you just want it as free dlc, most of the "complaints" are actually just people asking if they have any chance to get in, as there is no point waiting around if your chance is 0%.

Welcome to the forums btw, I'm sure someone will give you a fishy stick..

I mean, I think that would of ended the best way, everyone would be happy, they would have gotten to play maybe like one mission in Dawguard. But we can't change it now, all we have to do it wait, oh, and my birthday is June 26th. I can die complete now ^_^

I agree about the US only thing, something I also wanted to mention as well.
