... And when I use the weapon repair kits on the .44 mag it actually makes the gun worse instead of repairing it.

Now I've just encountered this bug. Do you have the gun modded with the Heavy Frame (the one that increases it's health by 50%)? Mine started doing this immediately after buying that upgrade (I already had the scope attached and everything was fine), as soon as I added the Heavy Frame I noticed the weapon condition dropped dramatically which baffled me, and when I went to repair it noticed that weapon repair kits did nothing to improve it. Eventually had to blow a few thousand caps getting it fixed which was a bit irritating.

We hope to have more details to provide for you guys sometime soon. For the now, the pinned update in this board pretty much covers things -- our teams are hard at work on new updates for the game. When we have more to report, we'll be sure to let everyone know -- in the forums, on the blog, etc, etc.

Thank you.

Talaran, you completely missed the talking point of my post it seems. Also, I was not speaking directly to you (ie fans, customers), just using your post to further discuss the current situation.

Isn't there a ton of red tape to cut through if a company wants to put out a patch on a console? I remember with Dragon Age needing a patch and it took weeks just to get through Playstation Network QA. If (when) there is a patch, it needs to be cleared by Microsfot, Sony, etc.

PATCH YOUR GAME.

Not a word in two weeks. Broken quests, game breaking bugs etc. Just a little, "We're still working on it" at this point would be GREAT.

I can't go to The Fort without the game crashing. After dealing with endless load screens (even with it installed to the hd), I just don't have the damn patience to restart my console one more time.

I have had little choice in how I want to proceed in this game, due to quests being bugged, we paid money for this game. This game is not shelf ready. The least you could do is open up a dialogue with your base. It's disrespectful, ridiculous and should not be tolerated.

To the people with no bugs, we don't care. WE DON'T CARE. We get it, you don't have any bugs. Congrats, here is your medal. Enjoy. Thanks for sharing. Good job, you are the king.

To the apologists, shut up. Nobody cares. I know that all of you are right here, because where else would you be? But from a majority of the people who pay $$$$, this is unacceptable. Vote with your wallets folks, don't contribute to a company that treats you with so little respect.

Thank you and good luck.

No major bugs here. Sorry, you were asking for it.

The only bug I have is the extremely struttery background music, it seems to happen when it transitions between ambient songs.

Complaining constructively about problems with the game is one thing, infighting, name calling and rude posts are another and achieve nothing - apart from a warning and time out for those who do. I have deleted some posts.

So if you went to mcdonalds and they gave you a burger with no bun or condiments and a fry container with no fries, then told you to have a seat, brought you out the bottom piece of bread and then you didn't hear from them again, you would sit there for 2 weeks waiting for the top part of your sandwich and your fries?

If this is how it's done, then it needs to be done differently. They are a business, we are the customers, period. We don't buy the games, they don't exist.

I stopped reading at this point, I thought this anology was friggin' hilarious though, I actually LOL'd for real.

Anyway, to the OP: I read your initial post and thought it was very "proper" up until the point you started getting rude... these threads always take the same direction, get filled with the same replies, and get locked by a moderator eventually. I understand your point of view and agree with you to an extent, but I also see the other side of it and being a patient man myself, I think you should just relax and do something else until a patch is released... FO:NV not working isn't the end of the world... not until 2077 IIRC. :nuke:

This is a bug/glitch if you use a weapon repair kit on any weapon that is using one of those 50% condition mods on it. I would advise against using that mod, or using the repair kit until it is fixed. Heh.

Honestly I give up on Beth/Obsidian ever fixing this game. It's 2 weeks after release and only one update and a patch that fixes caps/xp exploits. /LE SIGH

I advise everyone to just go pick up the PC version like I have done and use community patches from now on instead of Beth/Obsidian's fixes.

There is already a community patch out that fixes most of the bugs in the game. There is still no "real" patch from beth/obsid.

When a team of 20-30 unpaid people can do in 2 weeks what 2 Multi-MILLION dollar companies can not do in 2 weeks+, you know there is something wrong.

No, not really. No amount of information would be enough for some people. If they would post, like they already did, that they are working on a patch, people are not satisfied and want minute detail about what, and why.

If they would give a tentative date, and miss it because of something beyond their control happening that needs to be fixed, or needs to be approved or validated by another agency, people would be screaming about the devs lying. If they say they are trying to fix issues a,b,c,d,e,f, and g, the rants about them not caring about their customers because they haven't managed to fix issues h, i, j, k, and l yet. If they release a patch that fixes only a few issues, the "the devs don't care, look at the half-assed job they did" threads would start. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Better, imo, that they keep quiet and keep working on the patch. Talking about fixing something doesn't really get it fixed.

They've said they are reading the forums to find out about problems/glitches and issues. That is why the mods keep moving threads about problems into the correct forum; the more issues clearly reported the more information the devs have to work with for a patch.

This.

I would love a patch, too. Maybe an NCR Ranger patch to put on my jacket. It'd be neato.

After seeing these threads for years now on every forum for every game in existence, they're just as annoying as the apologist threads.

Releasing unfinished games has become the new standard, and it has been for years now. Anybody who has more than a passing interest in video games already knew this. Either start waiting a few months before you buy new releases or stop buying video games. Waiting even gives you the added benefit of being able to read accurate reviews before you buy, which would have clued you in to how buggy New Vegas is.

I've got a computer with almost top of the line hardware (minus the video card which is a GTX295) and this game is so stuttery that it's almost unplayable even with the community fixes floating around. But I don't come on here and [censored] about it because I knew what I might be getting myself into when I bought a game on release day.
