Did anyone else totally fall in love with the goblins at gam

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 9:29 am

When i saw them i was like O.0 !!
They looked so awesome much better than the Gollum creatures from OB.
I can imagine sending half-a-dozen flying with a fireball.
Or being overwhelmed by a horde of them and being carried back to camp to be roasted.
I would love to see them fighting mudrcarbs.
Did anyone else really like them?

Nah.

I didn't mind not seeing goblins in Skyrim. IMO the Falmer have sort of taken over that niche. And the GameJam goblins didn't look that great to me anyway; they looked kind of silly.

not at all..goblins were the single most irritating thing about oblivion, and i honestly thought they looked stupid in skyrim...there's no point to add goblins, it's not supported by geographical lore, not green goblins anyway..

No. Instead of "goblins" they need to correct what they've wronged us vets. Patch in attributes immediately and then start to add back everything else they gutted.

the self entitlement, the title of a "vet" for yourself, yeah, classic tes forum self righteousness. haha. here's a few facts for you: first tes game: daggerfall, hours played in morrowind: over 1500. you'd think i'm a self entitled "vet" like you, but nah, i'm a normal human being who realizes things must change and am actually quite happy with skyrim. attributes, no thanks.

Morrowind later introduced Goblins in their expansion pack. Now it seems like expansion packs have died, but maybe they`ll do the same for DLCs.

What I liked in that `jam` (whatever the hell that means) was the spears and teleport points (which was similar to what we had in Morrowind). I don`t really mind `Fast travel` if it has a reason in the world why and a cost.

Pardon my ignorance - I've seen several references lately to this "GameJam", but have no idea what people are talking about. Anyone have a link to where I can get a clue?

I would love to seem them used with the Thalmor in a quest somehow since the High Elves are said to have goblin armies.

Goblin slaves to be more exact.

I was thinking of the Goblin Army quest from Morrowind-

But who knows if the Thalmor use them as such or just as slaves.

OMG I don't think I've seen that video about Skyrim's Unadded Features! HOLY COW, so mounted combat IS possible! I love the moving walkways and bridges in dungeons and the dragon mounts! I definitely want to build my own house! :D Special assassin sight and fire and ice arrows would rock! OMG if they only add half that stuff, the game would be beyond amazing!

Not really. I never liked goblins to begin with and the ones in GameJam didn't look good anyway.

Yes I want goblins! Skyrim already needs more mythical creatures.

Hell yeah, Goblins are pretty much a staple of anything fantasy. Would love to see roaming bands of the critters.

Oh, how DARE Bethesda make a new game different to it's predecessors?! How DARE they make improvements that allow for more freedom, creativity and unique gameplay?!
Please. Get over yourself. Want to play with old features? Play an old game. Want to play a game with improvements over it's predecessors? Play Skyrim.
And don't act like just because you've played a few games, Bethesda need to listen to YOU and not people like me, who've only played Skyrim or people who've only played Skyrim and Oblivion. Because we have just as much right to an opinion as you.

Rant is over. I didn't mind the goblins in GameJam, but I completely agree with whoever said that Falmer are the new goblins.

Your rant is void if you've only played Skyrim.

They were pretty cool. In fact, everything in the jam was. If goblins aren't supposed to be in Skyrim though, then they shouldn't be added.
