I just didn't like having to choose between the Imperials and Stormcloaks right away. Especially after meeting both Hadvar and Ralof, and knowing that if I went with one, the other will probably die.

I never choose any more. In my games, they're both still alive and well somewhere.... (Probably not really, but that's okay, that's how I RP it....)

The [censored]ers didn't lift a finger to save me while I was on the chopping block, so [censored] em. Heck, if anything, Alduin is your saviour.

I kinda just assumed that the survivors abandoned the town and went to Bruma.
