Dwemer abuducted by aliens

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 8:32 pm

Aren't all those planets around Nirn the realms (or the actual bodies) of the Aedra?

Wow medieval peoples turn out to be wrong about the nature of the universe. That's never happened before. Aedra are actually just jacked-up ancestor spirits in the first place.

The zerg attacked Nirn so they could get to the Dwemer the protoss seeing the dwemer as valuable allies saved from being assimilated into the swarm, then the dwemer joined the ranks of the protoss and lived with them. Due to their smaller size they wouldnt be good frontal fighters so they get put inside immortals, dragoons, collosus, and carriers.

Dwemer..abducted by aliens...in the middle of a war...with no one noticing at all, even the race they were in total bloody war with..

Yep, makes sense.
Maybe the Dunmer are aliens that abducted both the Dwemer and the Chimer

I'm also royally confused about the Dwemer. TES lorehounds explain them as simply being wiped out when red mountain asploded. But all the lorebooks in game say they disappeared mysteriously.

Edit: Are they confusing the Chimer and Dwemer?

The Chimer were cursed and turned into Dunmer, you can see what they looked like before in MW (Vehk)

The Dwemer weren't destroyed by Red Mountain, but were destroyed when trying to transcend the Gods (or some such, it's been too long since I was into the Dwemer)

You know, I've read all that stuff at least twice from the books in game, but my sieve memory has real problems making fictional history stay memorized @_@

Oh well, gives me something to read again. Thanks for the synopsis btw.

The chimer were cursed by Azura because the Tribunal were a bunch of arrogant [censored]s.

The Dwemer were trying to become gods, and then they ended up becoming Numidiums golden skin.

So the Dwemer were like the Mayans of Tamriel? Let me guess, they also predicted Alduins return? Psh crackpot!

If Arniel's experiment is anything to go by, the Dwemer are probably living in a different plane. Kind of like a parallel universe.

Do you not understand? The Dwemer has escaped! They have taken the Red pill and is walking on the actual Earth.

Even now they are fighting Todd Howard to free the rest of the inhabitants of Nirn from that fabicated world.

Actually no, they don't give a damm about the other races. They are currently doing torture films like SAW 10 (whatever number it is currently on now)

I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if there were extra terrestrials in Elder Scrolls. Fantasy Sci-Fi is a bastard of a genre, and has no place here! The Dwemer finding a way back into our plane of existence is a cool idea though.

I have an interesting theory/idea for the dwarven lore or (hopefully) DLC. My theory on the Dwarves is that they were infact abducted by aliens together as a race. Nirn isn't the only planet in the solar system, so its possible that there is life on other worlds. The aliens would have recognized that the Dwarves were WAY ahead of all the other races in terms of technology and science and should live with the aliens. I know this sounds crazy, but I personally think this would make an awesome DLC where the Dragonborn manages to find this information out and go to the alien-dwemer civilization. I know it sounds a lot like Mothership Zeta, but wouldn't it be awesome to finally uncover the dwemer mystery???

The other planets in the solar system are the gods.
This is a mythical universe, a geocentric one too, with Nirn in the middle.
Everything circles around Nirn. The Sun is a hole in the sky through which magic enters the world.
The stars are smaller holes to that magical realm of Aetherius, they are all at the same distance from Nirn and some seem bigger not because they are closer, but because they are bigger holes.
The moons are the body of a dead god.
Beyond the Mundus lies Oblivion and that is what you look into when you look up at night.

Sorry, there are no aliens.
There are a whole lot of gods though, and there even is space travel. By Imperial mananaut, Altmeri Sunbird, or if youre a Khajiit, by climbing.

The Dwemer uncreated themselves, or rather, Kagrenac uncreated the Dwemer unto Numidium.
They became its golden skin between the mundane and the divine, in an attempt to escape the Doom Drum and return to the first brush stroke of Anu and Padomay.
They became part of a big giant stompy robot, and that blew up. Twice.

Actually, the Dwemer were what we Earthlings call "Assyrians".
I mean, come on:

I agreed with the whole Dwemer mystery DLC thing but not the alien part, I mean would be nice to know what exactly happen to them and is there any of them still alive I mean we're talking about a whole civilization so I wouldn't be surprise if some of them manage to live in seclusion deep under the Dwemer ruin beyond the falmer's reach.

Ergh, I thought the Falmers wiped them out. Last trace of them probably have been digested and turned to Falmer droppings in the Blackreach.
