Female dragons

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:52 am

Since i started playing skyrim i noticed that all the dragons have male voices. Now i'm not really up to par with my elder scrolls dragon lore so i don't know if there even are different genders of dragons. But anyway i personally think it would be kinda nice to see a female voice in a dragon(like saphira in eragon).

What does everyone think?

oh also can someone please fill me in on some of the dragon lore as i would love to know some more about them. Thanks

Have you ever talked to an old woman who smokes?

A lifetime of breathing fire or frost will give anyone a masculine voice.

Someone will have to confirm this, but I'm not sure dragons are capable of reproduction. In that sense, they would be neither male nor female... just... sixless...

They may be referred to as male by man and mer because they don't know what else to refer to them by. You can't call them 'it' or 'they' forever, it's easier to just say 'him.'

Dragons are genderless, immortal creatures, so there are no female dragons.

The Lore tends to have all Dragons sound quite male, but there are male and female, though there are no discerning physical signs. Not even sure if a Human`s got close enough to find out.

In the case of Dragons it doesn`t matter, they`ll try to kill you whatever six. It doesn`t matter to us. what? You gonna be nicer to one because its female?

Don't know about TES dragons, but dragons in most mythos lay eggs. Those that do are female.

They're like salmons and become females when it's time to lay eggs.

There's something called the Jills, which apparently are like the dragon equivalent of angels, who fix time after Dragon Breaks. And they're female.

I just assumed like 98% of Dragons were male. Now, I'm not sure.

It appears to me that all of the dragons are females, since they lack of any male genitala.

Good explanation, I was about to use the kitchen one.

Apparently all the dragons are male, because going by the character models for Khajiit and Argonians, if they were female they'd have human-type bazooms.

Dragons don't sound particularly masculine to me. Yes they have deep voices, but then they're also huge and have extremely long necks. Unless a dragon specifically referred to themselves as male I wouldn't assume they were.

Large things with long necks don't seem masculine to you? I don't understand...large, long necked things are usually female? I don't see how you logically make the connection between 'large' and 'long necks' being less than masculine, but I have some advice- don't look up the word 'giraffe' in the dictionary unless you'd like a mild surprise

Irrelevant.
There are plenty of real life animals that have no apparent or obvious external male genitalia, reptiles and lizards for just two examples. Birds and fish are two more.
Except for the fish, all of those share some apparent similar characteristics to Skyrim's dragons. Lack of external genitalia =/= female gender.

But why are there female Transformers?
