I personally really hate that you get +karma for killing feral ghouls. I cant be evil and defend myself from feral ghouls? What the hell is up with that? I can understand getting +karma for killing Fiends, but it's still self defense when they go hostile immediately. What am I supposed to do if I want to be evil? "Oh, look, I can totally annihilate a deathclaw and a BoS Paladin in full power armor, but since I'm evil, I have to run like a ninny from any punk-ass fiend or feral ghoul I could snap like a twig with both hands tied behind my back." :banghead:

I don't like the karma boost for killing ferals either, but just because your character is 'evil' doesn't mean you have to do everything you can to avoid doing something that is seen as 'good'.

Normal characters aren't evil for the sake of being evil, they're 'evil' because they're opportunistic and have no morals that restrict them from doing what they figure is best for themselves, and only themselves.

It's like when people playing Fallout 3 say 'I am evil so I must blow up the bomb in Megaton'. The thing is, you don't. With Megaton gone you destroyed lots of people and earned some caps, but you lose a good place to rest and trade. Just because blowing the place up is the most evil thing to do doesn't mean you automatically have to do it.

You can even do good deeds as an evil character as long as it gets you a reward.

Biggest change I noticed, there seems to be more than three voice actors in FONV compared to FO3, looks like they hired someone else.

And everything seems a lot harder to kill at the start of FONV than the start of FO3 :sadvaultboy:

The merchants no longer have all of their merchandise to loot. Like if they have 4000 caps and a bunch of weapons when you try to buy something from them... then you kill them, it's completely different. AND like they said, it's not on the pack brahmin either.

Two things I have noticed are

1 constantly clicking the Vats button no longer show far off enemies or friendlies

2. Shooting an enemy long range without vats does more damage than with vats .

I love those little ravens.

Yeah, I like'em too. Often they sit on fallen enemies that can be hard to find, so they are not only nice little birds, they serve a purpose (don't know if this is really true, honestly, but I think they do...)
I enjoy that animals in NV has some kind of natural behavior. Much better than the ever insane animals in FO3 who just attacked you on sight nomatter the distance.

There are containers that can be picked up and moved around/taken with the player that hold items! (boxes in goodsprings for example)

I love those :)

I know. I did behind the boxes in Goodsprings during that Powder Ganger quest and I ran into them and was just shocked when they flew about everywhere. I was just: COOL!

Then I got shot :(

My favorite change was going from a bland title to a great one, but that's just me.

Also, the better FPS shooting mechanics are a much appreciated option to VATS.

I talked to two NPCs in one building that had the same exact voice actor (Mojave Outpost, the guy behind the desk and Jackson)

Well this isn't a gameplay feature but is it just me or are there less black characters around? (Unnamed and named)

The fact that you are looking for them is indicitive of racial bias.

I don't think there are less than in go3 but the voice actors they use the most are black, the primm securitron, and most of the npcs are.

Maybe they have magic pockets of a different sort than the player? Makes a lot of sense from that perspective. :P

I don't know much about America.

dc has a higher population of blacks than Nevada or Arizona although it's not much of a big difference.

DC = more than 50% of the population, I believe. Arizona/Nevada = less than 10%. Semi-confirmed with wikipedia.

Not accounting for alternate universes, nuclear wars and ~270 years, of course.

And racial awareness does not automatically mean racial bias.

I noticed that my followers have a much easier time following me. In FO3 most NPC's got stuck on the most ridicules obstacles.
